Boots are selling off all their Pop Idol Karaoke machines. Full machine which is brill (I bought at £60 reduced from £80) is now £19.99. The wireless head mike is £8.97 as is a set top box that converts a DVD player to a Karaoke machine. Lots of discs also reduced to £2.50

Going to go straight to boots and see what there is. The only thing they had were electric razors at 40% off :(

Are sale items scanning at a lower price as in our local stores the display sel seems a little to dear for some items that are in the sale or is it just me looking for too much of a bargain.

If you've been looking in the Irvine store (seen you mention Irvine on another thread) then it's pretty hopeless and has nothing decent at all really on sale. Glasgow and Ayr have plenty, I picked up Panasonic DVD Recorder, X-Box, deoderant sets etc at good prices between Glasgow and Ayr stores.

Nothing in Boots on Oxford Street today (other than a few iPod armbands) :(
They had some Karaoke machines at £19.99 but they didn't seem to be reduced.

    The reason everywhere is empty:

People have been going into the stores, buying the games 20 to 50 a time, this has been confirmed, and then going to GAME and GAMESTATION to sell them, THIS IS GREED! leaving the rest of us gameless for the money we have.
Confirmed by whom? Most stores never even had that much stock to start with. I got the one of the last DS and PS2 bundles from Oxford Street three weeks ago, when the sale first started. The staff didn't even know about it until I contacted them. Then one member of staff bought the remaining PS2 bundle (he told me he was putting it through the till for himself when I called back to find out if my transfer was ok). I don't know where you've heard this crap about people buying so many, as there was never that much stock to start with. There's no stock because this sale is three weeks old. All the really great bargains have already gone.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

  • I think there is some confusion between the boots console offers - which were scarce from the outset and the Whsmith console game offers for £1. (Different thread)
