Well for instance I have a HP printer ,that updates with something periodically:D, but if I go to remove programs it encompasses image zone and that makes 10 programs a total of 1120 mb:eek: ,microsoft takes another huge chunk , I have service pack 2 and 3 do I need both ?:mad: oh its xp by the way

You're probably best off posting this in a thread on its own for a better response, Nickynoo .

In the meantime the first thing I would do would be to uninstall PCKeeper. "a complete bundle of tools to keep your computer safe and working at full performance"

Obviously not as you wouldn't be posting here.

Besides, it uses the Avira engine for it's antivirus protection and you also have MSE installed. More than one AV is a no-no.

After trying to speed up our laptop, we have got to the stage of unistalling security.

Webroot and Trust Rapport will not uninstall it comes up with error 100 and then says I need permission to uninstall.

What do we do now??

Could you possibly post a simpletons guide to backing up a computer, please? I have done a lot of these steps and am very pleased with the results but reluctant to do others without a back up and I don't know how to do that...:o
