Well said Martin, have to agree. I am a nurse, therefore in the same position of dealing with the public and believe you me every so called "angel" has a good rant and sound of when away from the ears of patients and relatives when needed!! He IS human, at least he didnt have a full blown swearing rant which would have sold even more papers!!:eek:0

I agree with Martin. I think that Gordon is desperate to use every opportunity to get his message across and this particular interview was, perhaps, a lost opportunity. The Tories will wreak havoc on the economy, the health and education systems and undo progress on many fronts. The fact that the Tories intend to legalise bloodsports shows how they are far from the caring, compassionate party they claim to be.0

Sorry which country are you living in currently ? Or maybe you haven't noticed we are in a mess!"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

sorry i still think hes an idiot she asked a question about immigration he calls her a bigot-maybe he should listen when people are talking to him
Too darn right.
Has anyone else noticed the recent change to discussion of 'migrants' instead of 'immigrants'? I suspect it's all part of the same mind set.
Martin, you appear to be talking out your bum. The biggest issue is not that he badmouthed her in private but the clear inference that being concerned about the level of immigration - including from the accession countries, which most other EU countries limited for 3 years - makes someone a bigot. Do I believe he misunderstood her? No. It's just a knee jerk reaction - if you say the word immigration, you're a bigot.0 -
did this make brown look more human for a second? wow the man that runs our country just expressed something as apose to arguing it!, for some reason this has not had a negative impact on my opinion of him or labour i kind of like him for it but for no good reasons but it made him seem more human.0
-
I can't believe the number of people who think what Gordon Brown did is OK and not worthy of censure or criticism. For those congratulating him for disliking "bigots", he didn't dislike her enough to say it to her face, or make his point publicly. So not that brave or honest. Yes it was a private conversation, but it was what he really thought. If you think he wouldn't have relished David Cameron or Nick Clegg being caught in a similar situation..................then I think you're rather naive.
It's amazing how some very thin skinned people suddenly grow several extra layers when it's someone else getting the flak :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
its a shame it wasnt to her face that would have been really intersting to see how people responde and the debate tonight could have been alot less issue related than it struggled to be.
do you vote for the party or the person???
sorry that sounds like i didnt value the debate i just did not like the tory-labour too and frow constant that seems to stop real answers to questions but that another forum!0 -
I've been going out with a girl,
her name is Julie
But last night she said to me,
when we were watching telly
(This is what she said)
She said listen John, I love you
But there's this bloke, I fancy
I don't want to two time you,
so it's the end for you and me
Who's this bloke I asked her
Goooooordon, she replied
Not THAT p#ff, I said dismayed
Yes but he's no p#ff she cried
(He's more of a man than you'll ever be)
Here we go, two three four
I was so upset that I cried,
all the way to the chip shop
When I came out there was Gordon,
standing at the bus stop
(And guess who was with him? Yeah, Julie, and they were both laughing at me)
Oh, she is cruel and heartless
to pack me for Gordon
Just cos he's better looking than me
Just cos he's cool and trendy
But I know he's a moron, Gordon is a moron
Gordon is a moron, Gordon is a moron
Here we go, two three four
Oh she's a sl@g and he's a creep
She's a tart, he's very cheap
She is a $lut, he thinks he's tough
She is a bi7ch, he is a p#ff
Yeah yeah, it's not fair
Yeah yeah, it's not fair
(I'm so upset)
I'm so upset, I'm so upset, yeah yeah
(I ought to smash his face in.)
(Yeah, but he's bigger than me. In't he?)
(I know, I'll get my mate Barry to hit him. He'd flatten him)
(Yeah but Barry's a mate of Gordon's in'e?)
(Oh well, I don't care)
I don't care
I don't care
Cause she's a $lag and he's a creep
she's a tart, he's very cheap
she is a $lut, he thinks he's tough......

The thing that got me was that he asked "who put that woman in front of me?"
Well she is a voter, surely she has as much right as anyone else in this country to be "put in front of" the PM and ask him questions?!0 -

This is the right phrasing, migration. The concerns of the people of the UK is the level of migration. We are a mere state within the Union, European union. The people arriving from the East are not the problem. The problem is the people who have allowed the level of influx to happen, namely our politicians. Though these new arrivals provide the perfect focus of anger and discord for the native masses who then ignore the disdain and ignorance the political elite treat them with.
Our political class do not answer straight questions, never mention let alone deal with the main issues and use skewed & twisted statistical figures to persuade the public that; they have made things better, you should be thankful, expect less, suffer more and stop whinging.
Funny how it took a pensioner to push home the question of EU immigration when I have never heard any professional, academic so called investigative reporter reply to the "we are introducing a points based system to stem the flow of Africans and Asians" .... "sorry minister, THAT is not the problem, it is EU migration that people are worried about". Maybe they fear being called names like bigot by the idiot politicians.
As for the economy how can stopping a NI tax increase take six billion OUT of the economy?main stream media is a propaganda machine for the establishment.0
