As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new Daily Thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two Dailys' live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new Daily Thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “Hi everyone, hope you are all well” type start is just as good.

Morning lovely OS-ers!
Moggins and Lillibet dripping, (if either of you are peeking in - we miss you!!!) Hope you both have a great day!
LadyGrim -
Thinking of you.
Essexgirl - congrats on the new caravan, you must be so excited!
Gemma - Hope you get a date for your move soon
kezlou - I managed a slice of toast for breaky and another for dinner with a scrambled egg..
Cranky - Thinking of you both
Butterfly - :rotfl::rotfl:
Jaybee - Your walk sounds so lovely! We have bluebell woods close by but it's been years since I have been able to visit.
JackieG - My asparagus was grown to be harvested this year, so we can crop it for a week this year and then two weeks next year. This leaves plenty of crowns to go to seed and form next years crop. My FIL has grown it for years so plenty of advice there for me.
Meanmarie - won't be allowed any rhubarb for a month or so as I have to avoid certain foods and peppers and rhubarb are two of them. I shall ask my HH to stew it and then I can freeze it to enjoy. Sorry to hear of your parking ticket,
can you challenge it?
Redruby - great news on your DDs placement

Still not eating much but not sick at all in 24hrs though was close to it. Sleeping is still bad and I had a flashing lights migraine again today and no idea if it's lack of sleep or lack of food or just general stress that is doing it but I have had 4 in 8 days and that is a stupid amount.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good day. With love and light to all.

Morning All
Diva good to see you positng but just get those flashing lights checked out as along with a headache it could be high blood pressure - that's how it used to present when I was pregnant and my BP was always higher when I hadn't eaten. Better safe than sorry
Cramp in my hip drove me out of bed this morning but I've been awake during the night with a 'rough' throat - not quite sore but 'iffy'.
Dinner tonight was to be chilli and is in the slow cooker already - and still will be for the kids but I managed to pick up a visit to a mexican restaurant in the town so DH and I will eat there....looking forward to it.
Kitchen needs a wipe around which I'll do before work and I have four jobs to do after work and then DS2 is at the doctors this afternoon as he's not well at all.
Best get on...have a good day xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Work later, so it's bilge paint this morning. I am quite pleased with the top coat on the boat, it certainly paid to buy the best paint.
Ordered my Poly tunnel 30 x 10, so hope that arrived by the weekend and then I can have a poly raising day on BH monday. I got a good deal really as they threw in the hot spot tape and thicker anti fog plastic.... Hope it works out OK.
I need to get the credit cards in order now. Too much interest free odds and ends... I guess just as well do it now before we get taxed more.
DS is improving now he has the anti-biotics. At least we got there in the end, 3 NHS trips later.
Well, have a good day, CheersNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Morning Peeps
arrived home yesterday to no water again *rolls eyes* i`m getting a bit fed up with it now. The path a couple of roads away is all dug up with hoarding around but i`ve no idea if its all fixed permanently or not. Hope so!
This morning is warm and cloudy, think that we have rain forecast later but will check the weather pages in a little while. Hope that i can run the lawnmower over the lawns before the heavens open as its really growing quite quickly now.
Usual bits and bobs have been done this morning, made a litre of yogurt in the yogurt maker overnight so i have some for my brekkie with dried fruit for a nice change. Boiled eggs for later.
Hope that everyone has some sunshine in their day today!

Good morning lovely folk, good to see msd posting this morning .the sun is up and shining and I can see the River Medway from my window and it looks really nice.I'm tempted to have a walk down around the Riverside country park this morning but I have such a lot of housework to catch up on.I must do the bathroom and kitchen this morning after the school run.All this sunshine shows up the bits I missed before my holiday. My DGS came in last night absolutely buzzing as he starts on the BB production team on 24th May, a bit more of a step up the ladder for him It means he has to travel to Elstree every day for 17 weeks but its a good 'credit' to get on his cv.
Eldest DGD borrowed my last small amount of cash from me last night for her bus fare home from college today as she doesn't get paid until Friday. But I can raid my 'ice cream money box' as I don't need any cash really until Saturday.School run this morning again, but I don't mind as the weather is nice, and the boys are a lot of fun.
Right time to go and shower and make some breakfast I think .
I hope everyone has a good day
Cheers JackieO
P.S.did anyone hear the lady on Woman's Hour yesterday morning talking about her sausage pie it sounded really nice and very filling0 -

Will be out of the house again today, picking caravan up at 10 this morning :T probably spending some time getting it on the drive :rotfl: then off out to Dartford later to pick up a lorry. My paperwork is really sufferingbut isn't going anyway.
Had a lovely meal out with old friends last night, really enjoyed myself. Went for the special menu so it was quite reasonable too.
Anyway, best get on now, packed lunches need to be made.
Have a good one.x0 -

Nice day here again, we are due rain later on this afternoon, will get the washing out of a while this morning. Off to work today, and I have a busy day, so the time should fly by.

I think GB has shot himself in the foot with that stupid comment, shows exactly what he thinks about the great unwashed, silly man !!
My grass needs cutting weekly at the moment, all this sunshine after the damp weather is doing it the world of good.
Ok have good days all xx0 -

Morning :hello:
We have mushrooms :jWe bought a kit, convinced they wouldn't grow but wanted to have a go anyway. There's only four large ones at the mo, but tiny little ones are appearing too. We're going to the garden centre tomorrow to buy seeds/spores/whatever-they-are and we'll make a space in the shed to grow them.
We're already munching on homegrown sprouting seeds and spinach. I love this time of year - my grocery bill starts going down
Mr tru has brought scrap paper home from work. I put in a neat pile in the cupboard - it's over 2ft tall. Must get shredding. What with that and the £2.50 per bale hay, the animals are sorted
I've been de-cluttering this week, there's hardly anything for landfill. Most things have been recycled (which annoys me, recycling should the last resort - well one above landfill I suppose, I'd much rather reuse. Then I've reduced, by default, lol). I've kept a few things I can reuse though.
I'm a bit shocked at the price of copper. We took some bits down to the scrap metal place, expecting about £7 (if that) for it. Thought they'd laugh at us TBH. Was very pleased when they handed over £21 :j We'll have more to take in a couple of weeks so I'm looking forward to thatBulletproof0
