Welcome mrsmuggy hope you enjoy it on here.Bitsy hope you manage to get on the beach at the weekend Where I live its forecast to be tipping down on Saturday but I have a history class to go to in the morning so I don't mind it too much.
Lindy-Loo I thought it was only me that got very irritated with the Dyson I admit to swearing at the blessed thing everytime I have to use it I keep hoping it will die on me completely so I can go back to a 'normal Hoover' again. You only have to brush close to a Dyson for the cylinder to drop off(usually on my foot)plasticy rubbish, no wonder he is worth a fortune, and it really isn't half as good as my trusty old Hoover was. Oh I wish I hadn't given it away when I did.
I have just finished 'bottoming out' my bathroom and kitchen and feel that I have done more than enough for today. The rest of the day will be taken up with some gentle knitting and listening to the wireless and maybe a small snooze. Steak and salad for dinner tonight with a nice bit of melon and pineapple fresh fruit salad for pudding.I managed to get one of each of them reduced to a quid so I will be very virtuos and healthy eating today :)
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone

Bitsy - I know it was the first thing that went through my mind  She doesn't want to discuss it at all at the moment; she's just shut down completely. I'm pretty sure that someone in her family will have mentioned it to her though. When she's a bit less shell shocked I will bring it up. I would hate it (and him) if he's made her suffer any more through his actions. !!!!!! why do people do such awful things to each other?

Definitely got conjunctivitis in the right eye ... itches like mad :( GP gave me some drops
GP reckons I might have a strepptaccocal (near enough spelling ish) infection and that is why both my legs are swollen with a rash - so on antibiotics for that and I have to go back on Tuesday if not cleared up :(

Good job I don't have to pay for my prescriptions - It would cost me a fortune if I did ( I would HAVE to get a prepayment certificate then)

Went to freezer trade shop and spent £60  But that has totally filled both the freezers :D

DS has just walked in with the usual I'm hungry what can I have - honestly I swear he has hollow legs

So I have to go and stop the fridge raider!!!!!!!!!!

Take care everyone I will pop back later when sanity has been restored ;)

    Hi everyone,

Re: packed lunches, did anyone see that a nursery told a mum she couldn't send her two year od with cheese sandwiches because cheese isn't on their healthy eating list. That makes me so cross, under fives need full fat dairy products like cheese in their diet more than they need lettuce and tomatoes.

    Sorry, rant over.

OMG the bloody pc brigade has gone too far now !!!!!!

It is about time people took control back from the petty brigade and told them where to get off

Lovely to see you again PenPin. Hope you feel a bit better soon. Your daughter is YOUNG - mine will be 26 this year - that definitely makes me feel old:eek:.

Hello mrsmuggy - nice to *meet* you- . I'm sure you'll enjoy it in here, so keep posting :)

Our oldie dog has been in to the vet's today for a dental. She only needed her 2 front bottom teeth out but the rest have been well scaled and polished. Goodness how white they are now! Her gums were beginning to get quite red at the back so it was time to get freshened up.

Tea tonight is fishcakes + veg. Not HM I'm afraid so i shouldn't really be sneaking in here.

(((hugs))) to those under the weather.Hoping you enjoy the corned beef hash Diva.

    Good Afternoon Lovely OS Peeps.

Diva, I wondered if that's what you were doing with your Spargel, nomnom are you up for visitors yet? :p
Taplady take it easy, and follow tha good advice you gave me with my sore back!!
    NPM hugs honey, sounds like you've had a right carp week. {{:)}}
Lindy loo what a lovely mum you've got!
JackieO I don't rate Dysons either MIL has one but I much prefer my pink Hetty (which the boys bemoan as the vacuuming is their job!:rotfl:) and Congrats to Danny on his new job!
PenPin good to see you posting.
ButterflyBrain dog borstal finished two weeks ago, the new lot starts next week, but it's quite expensive so not sure what to do. OH says Is hould as I don't drink or smoke or go out much so it would be my hobby, and good for the dog, but I feel it's a lot of money, but then the pleasure I get from seeing her come on is worth it.....decisions, decisions.

Been feeling a bit fed up the last couple of days, the school are driving me insane over PTA stuff. We have a meeting, decide stuff, and then they decide to change it! Which is fine, but I wanted to reschedule a meeting with three week's notice, and they said no because it wasn't decided at a meeting!!! Then when it went ahead we didn't have enough attendees. Th Depute, who is my liaison in the school, is a lovely woman, but a bit scatty and forgets arrangements, or doesn't pass them on to the Head and then makes out it's MY mistake which is really getting my goat! Trying to just get on with it is not as easy as I would like it to be. Sorry, rant over.

Also having problems at work. We have a flexible working policy but in practise my department is not working parent friendly, and a simple request for a change of shift over the summer for my childcare because of primarily, DS1's ASD meaning I need fixed arrangements for him, has taken over 9 weeks to sort out, and I still don't have an answer. They said they'll have it for me tomorrow, which is my day off - I'm off til Tuesday. Now the centre which I had reserved Holiday Care in can't guarantee what I need as they had to give other people places as they had firm requests. Wish I could tell them to stuff their job.

Sorry sorry nothing OS in this but I have made Qurn Chilli for dinner which is completely HM and will be making Wholemeal bread, shortly.

Love and hugs to you all, sorry again for going on.

I feel your pain with the school Jackie.
    Welcome MrsMuggy :hello:

Not a bad day here. Good bits were managing to not spend my entire day off doing housework, catching a few great bargains in the charity shop and a lovely cuppa and catch up with a friend.
Bad bits were a problem with a school issue (not yet resolved) and being a tad peed off with an online friend. ;)

Other than that I potted on some plants in the greenhouse, gave the hen run a good clean out and have made whoopsied Free range chicken breasts stuffed with boursin, wrapped in bacon and served with wild garlic mash. Will eat when Oh makes an appearance then bath the girlies, a spot of ironing and some trashy telly. :D

    Take care all
