I've emailed to cancel my pruhealth now so will have to see what happens. I sincerely hope they don't ask for the gym membership fees back!0

I phoned up to cancel almost two months ago now. I cancelled my d/d with the bank (although I confirmed with the PruHealth lady on the phone that it was OK to do this). All I've got from them since is a letter confirming my cancellation.
I'm hoping it's now safe to assume I don't have to pay the extra £25...!0 -

Did you cancel within 6 months after you signed up? Which gym offer did you do btw?
Thanks!0 -
I'll keep you updated. I was with Cannons but didn't think they were worth it with the £25 on top of the policy fee. Their classes were at inconvenient times for me and not all of the instructors were very good.0

It was with Holmes Place (when it was part of the free for 6 months deal). I cancelled shortly before my 6th payment was due. After that payment had cleared, I cancelled the direct debit instruction with my bank. I believe my cover continued for a month after I cancelled (as the 6th payment was in advance for the 6th month).0 -
Hi,
Does anyone know if there are any deals with Virgin Active? I.e. If there is, would it be cheaper to join Virgin Active now and cancel Pru Health! Am thinking about asking at my local gym. If anyone has done so already, it would be good to know what they said.
Thanks0 -
After my email yesterday, I got a call asking for feedback which I gave. The woman then confirmed my policy was cancelled and said I could cancel the DD which I've done. No mention of £25 or paying back membershp fees yet but I guess there's still time!0
