cchilds wrote:I'm having the same problem. It might be a problem with their website, I tried last night and this morning. I'm worried that because Ive got to that stage, and the application didnt go through, when I retry, will I have any issues with getting the 115.00 from quidco? as I have had more than 1 quote reference number.0

miserlite wrote:Hi,
Firstly, thanks to everyone for a great money saving tip, however there's a small problem
The nearest gym (near work) is the Holmes Place in Broadgate, but it's one of the few excluded from the offer. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get around this annoying quirk? I'm guessing it's not financially sensible for Pru to subsidise a club with a £116pm fee, but it would be nice for me if they would!
Would phoning them and asking to meet in the middle, i.e. I pay £25pm from day 1, be sensible? Or does anyone have experience of joining a gym included in the offer and then transferring membership to one of the excluded gyms?
I'd appreciate any thoughts you guys & girls have on this, it's time to save some money and shed some pounds
Cheers
They dont say that the new Bank one is excluded, try and get in for that one, may well be a little loophole as surely that one should be excluded too.
I too would like to find out if theres a way round it, would love to use Bank or Canary Wharf gyms0 -
Is anyone in the Printworks Holmes Place gym. I was expecting big things considering it would normally cost £60 a month but I wasn't impressed really. There is nothing particular different from my last gym. I think the fact that there is a ladies gym and a normal gym seperates it to much so you train with just men or women which isn't good if you bring a partner with you. Can't argue too much for 20 quid though0

raeble wrote:Yes I got to that exact stage in firefox on the Pru website. In desperation I tried IE - worked first time. Of course now I've got two £115 being tracked, doubt I'll get them both but I can always dream!
I used firefox, and have two being tracked as well... LoL
Mind you, the application itself went through fine and I got my membership pack in the mail in just 2 days after applying.
Would be funny if we DID get both cashbacks though... hee hee hee..
But I doubt it...
In other news : THE VIRGIN TAKEOVER:
"The Holmes Place clubs will be rebranded as Virgin Active by the end of second quarter 2007."
Hence this offer does not be affected by the takeover, as if we join by Sept 28th, it will expire by end of March anyway - nowhere into the end of Second Quarter of 2007... So don't stress.
If you're really concerned, phoned the pru

Two questions re this offer
I am thinking of taking two separate policies out - one for me , one for the wife
can I do the two policies through quidco and get £230? (ie would I have to have two separate quidco a/cs one for me and one for wife?) - or can I put both through my quidco and claim the 2x £115
and also, couldnt see on Holmes place website about how much it is for kids...
the idea would be me and the wife join as separate members (Through the pru health offer), and then we take the little brat...er daughter (4 yr old) swimming....but what would be the cost for her to go to the club....0 -

I think you would probably need two seperate quidco accounts.
When I asked at my local Holmes place it was £10 per month for a kiddie membership - not sure how this would work with this special pru membership .0 -
I too couldnt put my address in using FF, used IE & have 2 being tracked, signed up me & my fiance using our separate quidco accounts, was going to do it before I knew about the £115 back so wahey!
Going to attempt to get my holmes place membership activated tomorrowW00t!0 -
with regards to the kids - I took out the Pru deal and when I was all sorted and activated at HP, I then took out the kids membership (£10 a month each) direct from my HP. They are linked to me and the direct debits go straight to HP. There were no probs.0
