  • with this offer, you can only join one club but it is up to you which club you join, it doesn'tr have to be the one closest to your home.

There are only about 4 clubs excluded from the deal, of the top of my head they are mayfair, canary riverside, kensington and one other i can't remember. however there are lots of other ones.

once the 6 months is up, if you stay at the same place you will pay just £26 a month. the other prices quoted e.g £45 a month are for other existing pru membersto pay who have not done this offer
Watch the pennies and the pennies watch the POUNDS:p! :j

*Proud Quidco member (£2000+ in cashback since Nov 2006)*Proud Tesco's Clubcard points collector (love the free meals) 1p flights, free cinema and theatre tickets *LOVE IT!!!

BOGOF gives me an orgasm (only if I need the items though!).
  • Hi I joined quidco just for the gym offer and wish that I'd joined it much sooner.

I applied on friday for this but there still isn't anything being tracked? How many days have most people had to wait before something appears?

    I'd like to place a query on it, but I'm not sure what the transaction amount should be - £18 x 1, £18 x 12 or £216 x 1... Am feeling v stupid!

Can anyone help me on this?
    Thanks

I applied through quidco 11 days ago and nothing is being tracked there for me.
I received my Pru papers through but no mention of Holmes Place. Should I give them a ring? Or do you have to wait a certain amount of time?

I'm not really interested in the Pru Health cover I just want to get my monthly payments down as low as possible, therefore if I elaboarated on my details, ie, gave a different age etc, would this be reflected on the membership with the gym? For example, if I said I was 20 when in fact I was 40 odd, does Pru pass on these details to the gym, or just your name etc?. Or does the gym membership have to applied for seperately once the health covers is setup?. Hope this makes sense..

Something I'm worried about is that it says "Before 31st August" (today). I signed up today, I wonder if I'll still be elligble?

My quote was £18.93, I'm 24, don't smoke, no illnesses. If I can get this this is a cracking deal, I currently go to a local council run gym and pay £26 a month. :T

Just phoned Pru Health and apparently there is no problem if you are signing up today.

Sandybrag, I used to work in insurance and you have to get the Medical Insurance to get free gym membership. When you sign up for it it will be a legally binding contract so your details have to be correct - especially your Date of Birth.

Unless you look like Peter Pan I doubt you'll get away with it. When you join the gym you have to fill up a form that includes you DOB which they will send of to pru.
If you are in your 40s and claim you are in your 20s a vigilant gym employee may flag this up with Pru.
This is a great offer don't abuse it.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Gone for it via quidco - premium is £25.77 - 38 yo male non-smoker based on cheapie membership - will join Slough Holmes Place. As the peak rate is only £39 at this gym I will cancel after 6 months but will only pay £6 odd avg after quidco in that.

Glad I saw this as I have just cancelled my £71 mth local gym membership due to work / home commitments and I can go to Slough gym in lunch hour.

Sorry if this is in the thread somewhere - but all I can seem to find on the 'pruhealth' site is a page saying the following for Cannons etc:

    http://www.pruhealth.co.uk/uk/prudential/presales/vp_cannons.jhtml
    Activation fee £25
Monthly fee for single standard membership (excluding City club) – Club Membership £25

I make that £25 + around £30 per month premium for cover = too much really.

Is this the page I'm looking for - or have they pulled the special offer page in preference to the 'Boots £100' voucher offer?

Does someone have a 'link' that will bring up the offer page directly? Any help is appreciated.

All a bit 'last moment' I'm afraid - maybe I should wait until the next time they do it!?

    STOP PRESS
Managed to get it this time by opening a new browser window, then clicking on the 2nd link given in the first post - and then going back to clicking on the quidco link.
    This too, shall pass.
