  • Finally, I managed to find the link to the gym offer and have now signed up. I had an inexpensive quote (just over £15) so given everything goes through OK, I should have a very cheap six months at some of the best gyms/health clubs in the county. If Quidco pays too I will in fact be paid to go to the gym :D.

Many thanks to the OP - very nice find indeed :).
  • Arrgh this is sooo frustrating!...I've tried everything to get the "gym" offer to appear via the quidco link....clearing cookies, and opening up the second Pru link on the first post, then going via quidco...time is very nearly up and I believe I've spent my hols trying to get this...is there any other way, say going through the quidco with the boots offer and then phoning Pru to ask if they will swap it with the gym offer....anyone tried this?

ALSO food for thought, since Vigins takeover on Holmes place is now imminent, will this affect the membership or will it remain the same because of going through Pru?
  • Thank-you...OP, after not being able to use quidco, and completing my Pru health anyway, it popped up using Quidco! So my partner has benefited from this anyway....it odes work...just lots of patience...thank-you for helping me save lots of money....

I just clicked through via quidco, went through on the gym membership link, and there was another dropdown menu that allowed me to select my referral as £100 egg cashback (there were 2 options : EGG06 - telephone only - 100GBP Cash Back Offer and EGG05 - egg incentive - 100GBP cash back offer)... as far as I can see I should get the £115 from quidco, £100 from egg, and the free 6 months membership, if not, let's see what the financial ombudsman has to say about it ;-)

From a legal stand point the company may be taken over i.e. the ownership changes, but the company remains a company and its contracts will (such contracts as these any way) remain in force.

It will not effect anything except that perhaps, in future offers, Virgin gyms (i.e. those that are currently Virgin gyms) may be added to the list.

You can use it at anytime. I have finally signed up to my local Cannons.
The manager was really nice and commented on how fantastic the Pru promotion was.
Turns out they charge an extortinate £64 a month.
Really not worth it without the heavy discount.
