Speaking of greek yoghurt, my fave dessert at the moment is 0% fat greek yog and stir in lemon curd to taste (@3 level tsp works for me) - give it a good old stir and it is sooo good - doesn't taste bland, just like really rich and creamy lemony loveliness (and minimum calories:A).
Am also a recent convert to the SW super-speed soup, which is just loads of veg and lentils etc but is surprisingly nice and very filling (but not necessarily also known as "windy" soup for nothing:o).
I was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......

Ooh barmyCow that is a good idea with the yoghurt, I love that Greek 0%, and usually have it on it's own or with strawberries in the summer, but I have loads of lemon curd in that MIL gave me - she doesn't like it - that sounds yum!

Maisie, I'd love to see your menu plan if you don't mind sharing it. I'm always after new ideas.

    Hi Alex,

I am fairly new to menu planning hence how I ended up having takeaways even when I had freezers and cupboards full of food:mad: But with my new promise to cut down on these as much as possible I am planning evening meals so I know what to take out the freezer the night before. My plan looks a bit like this

Saturday - steak pie, chips, peas and carrots
Sunday - chicken risotto (chicken Curry)
Monday - trout fillets with new potatoes and veg
    Tuesday- meatballs and pasta
Wednesday - SW quiche and salad
Thursday - lamb kebabs with salad
Friday - stroganoff and rice (savoury mince)
Saturday - Roast chicken, Roast potatoes and veg

For breakfasts I am trying have meusli and lunches things like humous and pitta bread, salads, oatcakes and pate. Snacks I have bought some healthy snacks such as nuts, apricots, carrot sticks and cherry toms.

Hope it will be okay and stop my buying c**p to eat which I tend to do cause I haven't planned.

Nice start to the month...six pounds over night.....no idea why, nothings changes, in fact, in a crazy mode of not caring I even had some tortilla crisps last night. (plus four oysters which is what supper was meant to be). Having a lazy weekend, lots of lazing, and laughing and the wii fit...but DH doing more than me I think.

I also got, for the first time today a decent wii fit age.

A friend of OH who is a fitness trainer said to OH that I should have a day now and then when I eat fairly generously and it will kick start the metabolism again. It does actually seem to work. I dont pig out but I think something like, Ill have a couple of roast potatoes with my chicken today just once in a while and it does seem to shake up the diet.

Oh and my scales can be anything up to 4 lbs more depending on where I put them in the bathroom.

Yeah, I have bathroom scale dances too, but I'm using the wii board...any one know how reliable they are?

google suggests I'm not magically gaining and losing but the wii on carpet might be to blame. Jeez.

lost- I find the wii quite reliable, it always weighs me exactly 3lb lighter that the bathroom scales I've never had it jump dramatically, I've been using it regularly for the past few months most mornings. But just though did you go on it last night and then this morning as it will tell you that your body weight changes morning and night?

Hi all, just copying this from my post on another thread (too tired to type it all again!).

I had a slip up last night... found some unexpected chocolate (Rocky bars) last night and ate three. :o I am so cross at myself.

After I had eaten them, I was browsing the internet and came across an article by a woman who had lost lots of weight at the age of 40, and she was happy about it, but also devastated at the thought that she had 'wasted' her teens, 20s and 30s being overweight.

She was grieving for the 'lost' years and asking herself 'why didn't I do it sooner, I could have felt this good years ago'. It struck a chord with me. Obviously I am not as OW as this woman was, and have only had this extra 1.5 stone for the last 2-3 years, but I was suddenly struck by the thought - do I want to spend my 30s being unhappy with my appearance? I want to look good while I'm still young enough to get away with certain things, so now is the time to do it! Not in ten years' time!

This has really opened my eyes. I am not getting any younger and I want to get back into my nice clothes sooner rather than later. So today is Day 1 of No More Excuses. I'm not going to ban chocolate altogether but I am going to be very strict and only have some if I've been very good all day/week and earned it. I'm toying with the idea of designating one day a week when I can eat anything I like, or perhaps allowing myself one little bit of chocolate every day or two. Either way, I feel revitalised after reading that article.

OK, off to catch up. Back soon!
