Oh, went out in just a smallish top and jeans today - first time in years Ive had the confidence to do that. Neighbour from hell's face dropped - he liked calling me "that fat cow" so he will have to think of something else now :) Its funny though how many people said to me, "Oh dont lose any more" - well, Ive still got handfuls of fat round my stomach, so Im carrying on for at least 2 more months. (I ate a cheese roll and a Magnum today :()

(Total loss now 3 stone 6lbs)

    Congratulations!
6 months later and people I don't see often are still telling me I should stop loosing weight. I did, months ago, in fact put a couple (just a couple) back on again. Still in my 32" waist trousers with comfort.

i am getting subtle warnings from the gym instructors and my wife that i am exercising too much!--cant win in this life --i feel fit at long last and i am eating more than of recent and i am still drawing flack--i must admit my once broad shoulders have receeded but i tend to think it was all built up flab but i think its almost time to maintain and maybe build some muscle to increase my bmr -i have consistantly lost weight for the past 7 weeks and i am 8lbs short of of a mid way normal bmi--i do think the female dietician who suggested me getting to 70kgs was a little severe--i was last 70kgs when i was 31 and a lot less thickened--i am 47 now and at present 74kgs--i am 5 9

I wonder if all that exercise means more muscle that is heavier than fat which might make it harder and even unnecessary to get the weight that far down.
Depends on whether you feel your carrying any excess fat really. Standard BMI charts no good if you've above average muscle.

What an amazing result...your neighbour sounds like an idiot which must make it all the more satisfying. I suppose you should be grateful to him for giving you another reason to feel smug :)
Hi guys, sorry I haven't been keeping up, will make more an effort on June's challenge. Well at last weeks WI I stayed the same but this week I managed to lose 3 lbs:j:D So thats a total of 5 lbs lost so far in May (and 14.5lbs to date:D). I weigh in again next Tuesday so will count that towards May challenge and then move over to the June one.

    That's fab, congrats :A

Why oh why do people say that? So many people told me to stop losing weight (the first time round), it was nonsense, I felt so much better at my lowest weight. :)

    hi,

I get the same response from people (especially my husband!), 'why don't I stop loosing weight now?!'

I feel the healthiest and the slimest I have done in years!

I am hardly wasting away! I must admit I have been over doing it lately with the running but thats a combo of working, exercising and looking after a house and 2 kids!

    good luck to all:)

I had a sneaky mid week weigh in this morning and have lost another 2 pounds! I might be on target for a STS this month after all!

Won't update my sig just yet though just in case, I don't want to jinx it!

I don't know what's happening to me this month  Despite eating potato in pasta with a cheese sauce as a starter and 2/3 of a margerita on Thursday I've gone down even further  I'm now ??.13 so further 3lb down taking me to 16lb :|

I know I've done so much walking though and spent the last 2 weeks in a dizzy cloud of excitement and nerves - so it will never happen again! Best make the most of it!

Well done hethmar! That neighbour sounds like a complete muppet, good to see him get his comeuppance!

Well done everyone else, hugs to those who STS or didn't lose any.

when i started out i was average muscle mass for my age -i think i will pay the 4 quid to go see the dietician again to see what damage i have done!!--i am 14.5lbs lighter than when i saw her on the 1st May---so thats my total loss for the month. i am 23lbs lighter than at the start on the 7th April.İts been too rapid i know but that is the way i do things in life. İ am now on a calorie counting plan which is softening the diet but i am still losing.--i ate 2867 too few cals last week with a 3800 burn of exercise taken into account. the diet plan meant i should have eaten all the calories to lose 1lb,i lost 3lbs in the first 7 days of it.-i couldnt physically eat as much as they said i needed.-it has lots of targets and i eat too much fiber and too few saturated fats but i think that those are good!

İ am quite pleased with my shape but could do with more off the belly!
    mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.
