Hi everyone, me again........ I keep popping in and out of here each month, did really well at the beginning of the year and then it went downhill after a visit to the doctor
He told me that 'Yes I was fat and that was because I ate to much and did to little, if I wanted to loose weight I would have to be less lazy and go hungry'.........Which made me think sod it, why bother anymore.
However, !!!!!! the doctor! I was 156 lbs at the start of May, I am now 153.9 lbs, which isn't a big loss but it's a start. I've also got myself an exercise bike (£39.99 I think, half price from Argos) and I go on this for short bursts 5-10 mins at a time - I watched Eastenders while on it last nightI got the Hannah Waterman DVD this morning and had a go but only managed approx 4 mins.... Oh dear, i'll have to build up on that one. I have the Davina one as well and really enjoyed that last time.
I have cut my portion sizes down aswell and i'm drinking more water now. Just taken some of my measurements and don't think I dare post them on here
I just need some ideas for meals, I had loads of ideas at the beginning of the year but my mind has gone a blank now.
I'm hoping to loose approx 1 stone before 19 June (is that possible?) , if not the weight then at least some inches! because we're off to Gran Canaria.Virgin CC=£2652, Next= [STRIKE]£102.88,[/STRIKE] Very=£475.60, Natwest=£800, Sainsburys CC=£1777.02, Lloyds CC=£498.29, Lloyds Loan= £13,946.18, Car=£4000Total = [STRIKE]£26,147.23[/STRIKE] £23,849.09:eek:0 -
I really know I shouldn't weigh myself every day but after my 2lb weight loss !!!!!! it's gone back up 3lb - and that's after doing exercise etc.
Why do I bl00dy bother with the scales they are just such a waste of time grrrrrrr.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
Bitsy - Dont weigh yourself after exercise as it is never going to be accurate...this is due to water fluctuation in your body, depending on what you do and other factors etc, muscles often retain water after exercise therefore your weight will be heavier. First thing in the morning is said to be the best time.
Having a fab week so far, done absolutly loads of exercise and ate well but now were approaching the dreaded weekend!!...this is where plans often slip but im gonna stay focused this weekend...got 2 runs planned for over the weekend and volunteered to work a shift sat nite so this will stop me boozing loljust got a buffet to contend with on sunday at a christening but then again im working sunday night so thats going to stop me from drinking so maybe a little indulge on the buffet (not too much though as its weigh in mon)!!!

Dragon thanks for adding me the first post:A Well I had my weigh in on Tuesday and am pleased to report a 2 lb loss:j Not sure if I'll make it to 7lbs this month but ideally i'd love to lose another 2.5lbs as that would give a total loss of 1 stone to date. I'm following the SW plan and so far so good. I think I need to start thinking of exercise a bit more though. I'm currently doing the wii fit plus about once a week and have no real excuse for not doing more so am going to work on improving that.:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0

Too scared to weigh in this week, it's looking like I won't be able to weigh in next week either, so flying by the seat of my pants until the end of the month!
I had my parents down this weekend and although it could have gone a lot worse, for some reason my eating plans have fallen to bits since they left on Tuesday. Planning a 2-day detox for the weekend to wash out the toxins, so might maybe have a sneaky mid week weigh in and see what the damage is. Going out to buy a posh-ish frock tomorrow for my posh work ball next week and getting my hair done, so I'm hoping a can find a cheapy one in the cheapy frock shops down the road that fits and flatters. I might be here tomorrow for a shoulder to cry on lol!
I really don't like eating all this rubbishy food, and I haven't actually been enjoying it. I'm really looking forward to getting back into the healthy eating groove.
Well done to the losers, Charlie, don't pay any attention to the doctors - they have no clue what it's like to struggle with your weight and assume you must be sitting on your bum all day stuffing your face with chocolate. My doctor didn't even ask me if I did any exercise or ate healthy food and gave me a leaflet telling me to eat 5 portions of fruit and veg and walk to the bus stop. Genius advice, why didn't I think of that?0 -
Morning everyone
Following last week's pity-party, I am thrilled to report a 3lb loss this week, taking me to my first 1stone (and 1lb) loss in 10 weeks.:j Slow and steady would seem to be the route I am taking.
Following on from advice from my consultant, I am now concentrating less on the week-by-week losses and looking at a month at a time - providing my weight is going down, I can just about live with the occasional fluctuation . And that's where this thread comes in ! - I know it's not rocket science but it would seem that for a bear with a very small brain, I clearly needed to be reminded of this. Sign me up for life !!!! :T
MxI was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......0 -
BC - well done! A stone in 10 weeks is really good, steady progress
Claire - fab loss! Perhaps we should start a Wii Fit challenge on here - I have one and it's not been out of the box yet
Treeny - good luck with the frock shopping!
It's been a good week for me. Lots of swimming seems to have paid off as I've lost 2 1/4 lbs this week and that takes me to just over 6 stone lost :j:j:j0 -
Well, a poor couple of weeks. Started well but has stayed the same just over a pound down on the start of the month
BUT, one thing cheered me up. As I walked past our local chip shop, the door was open and the owner shouted out to me, "That lady is too skinny, she needs a bag of chips" LOL. I havent been in his shop in a year now. I lent in and said, in a couple of months I may have a kids size bag.0
