KGB Deals: Cineworld ticket £1
Comments

I am convinced that this Cineworld/KGB deal is a scam. I used my voucher code and purchased my ticket online. But then when I arrived at Cineworld they would not accept my ticket.
So, i lost my money on the initial ticket and the taxi fare to the cinema.
Pretty useless!!
Buyers beware is what I say.0 -

Did you have to print out your ticket and take it their, or use one of those machines where you use your credit card?0 -
"When I checked with my credit card company, they have been trying to reach me since Sunday to cancel my new card, as someone (not me) has been trying to use it 4 days after I signed up for the kgbdeals cinema deal.
It gets worse: the only time this card has been used since November is for -- ta da! -- kgbdeals!!!!!
Has anyone else but me had the card they used for kgbdeals attacked?"
I have been okay with my cards so far but a friend I recommended to the deal has had people stocking up on mobile airtime on the card she used and again its not one she uses regularly as she generally deals in cash. Lucky her card company picked up on it but she has had to destroy the card. Now she doesn't know if she even get the deal as you are supposed to use the same card to pick up the ticket. I'm feeling mightly guilty for recommended it to her in the first place now. I've been checking my cards daily now for fraudulent transactions just in case their is a connection, but as you say it might just be a coincidence.
Can anyone at MSE just reassure me that this site has been fully checked out and this is just a coincidence as my friend has lost all faith in me and sadly the MSE site!
I too have just had to have my credit card cancelled and a replacement sent - I don't know if it's in connection with this offer but I did use the card to pay for the kgb cinema ticket.
My card was an egg card and the fraudulent transactions were for over £400 at asos.com and over £700 at Harrods home delivery, both over the bank holiday.
I'm worried I won't be able to collect my ticket either as obviously the new card has different details on it.0 -

I was ok with the deal. I also had a free cineworld ticket which I got one when I requested a holiday brochure. So I and my hubby watched a film for a quid! Thank you!0

TAKE A COPY OF YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMATION WITH YOU!!!!!!
I got 2 codes - both worked OK for booking online;
HOWEVER - when we tried to get the tickets from the machine at Cineworld last night we both got error messages and no tickets.
Luckily, I took a print out of both confirmation emails with me (just in case!). We presented this at the ticket desk and they issued the tickets.
Without the printout we would have not got the tickets - be warned!
(PS we saw 'Four Lions' which was a bit dissapointing so glad it only cost £1 each!)0 -
I made 3 separate bookings on Saturday and all worked perfectly when I went to collect from the ticket machine. Family cinema trip for £3 - great offer. Thanks Martin.0

I used 2 tickets on Saturday at Enfield, having booked online some 6 hours before the film time. The ticket machine wouldn't issue the tickets although I had the right credit card. So ended up queuing but the girl at the ticket desk couldn't find the details of my booking on her system. She called the manager who took my credit card details and booking reference and went away to do whatever he had to do. He emerged 10 minutes later with the tickets -phew! So the message is take your reference number even if you can't take the copy of the email and allow plenty of time just in case there are problems!0

I have 2 codes but haven't used them yet.
Can I book 2 tickets with those 2 codes I've got in one transaction? If not, with 2 transactions booking separately, does that mean the seats wouldn't be together?
Has anyone tried?
Thanks in advance.0 -
Just to echo what some other people have said...
I used two codes to book two tickets in the same transaction. It all went through fine so i didnt bother to print off the confimation email (stupid, i know).
When we went to the machine it only printed one ticket off and them came up with an error (something about not being able to use the code multiple times- even though we used two different codes).
Luckily there was no one checking the tickets when we were there so we just walked straight in. If there was someone there then i think we would have been turned away as i didnt have the confirmation email with me.0
