    Just got this by email:

You may have received an e-mail last night containing a code for use at www.cineworld.com for a free cinema ticket. We apologise but the code was sent in error and was incorrect. The code contained below is now correct and may be used at www.cineworld.com.
Please delete the previous e-mail and use the code below.
I didn't get an email yesterday but this looks good enough for me - haven't tried it on the site yet...

Although it says not valid on 3D films, I remember someone posting in the previous £1 Cineworld deal thread that they somehow managed to get it for a 3D film and they only had to pay for the 3D glasses?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

The last one was valid for 3d so that's how people used it for 3d films ...

    I've been Money Tipped! Newshound!
Just wondered if anyone can clarify if you need to take the payment card with you to collect the ticket. The e-mail states "you will be asked for your payment card details to verify the transaction" however my mum ordered a second ticket with the intention that my son would use that ticket - but it looks as if my mum may need to be there. If anyone could clarify what happens when you collect the ticket it would be much appreciated.

I think when you book online normally you use your card and then to get the ticket printed at the cinema you would put the card you did the order with in the machine and it prints out your ticket so my guess would be your mum's card needs to go to the cinema even if she doesn't. It's quite a faff to use the ticket the way they've done it this time. I've not booked online before but that's my guess how it works from looking at the machines.

My OH and I want to see a movie tomorrow. She received a code that didn't work, then had to go out. I then received an 'amended' code in an email saying I 'may have received a code last night' (I hadn't) that was in error.

The code I got worked _until_ the very last, when the Cineworld web site failed the booking for 'technical problems'.

When I checked with my credit card company, they have been trying to reach me since Sunday to cancel my new card, as someone (not me) has been trying to use it 4 days after I signed up for the kgbdeals cinema deal.

It gets worse: the only time this card has been used since November is for -- ta da! -- kgbdeals!!!!!

Has anyone else but me had the card they used for kgbdeals attacked?

    Richard
