My loan payment came out early (£337) So I had to transfer £400 from my savings account back to my current account to cover the shortfall. Apparently it takes a month to change the payment date of my loan but at least this will give me some extra funds in Feb.

Here is my spending diary for last week. It was going ok until I had an unexpected night out on friday and spent far too much money.

    W/E 14th Jan-07

    Details Amt
    Asda Weekly Shop £33.30
    Selfridges Vouchers £25.00 (Wedding Present)
    90 Cigarettes £24.15
Ebay Postage £10.26 (From Ebay Sales)
Indoor Football £3.00 (Weekly Footy has started up again)
    Evening Out £80.00 (Oh Dear.............)
Takeaway Pizza £16.50 (Normal Sat Night Takeaway)
    Groceries £22.15
    Petrol £20.00
    Gate - Mothercare £29.99
    Ball Park & Drink £6.10
    Chipshop £5.50

    Total £275.95

Just to let you know there are people out here who are enjoying your posts, even though we don't reply to every one. I've also started a spending diary at the beginning of the year (it's an eye-opener!) and it's good to see how other folk manage their money. :)

I have transferred another £24.65 from paypal last night from the sale of my wifes coat that she no longer wore.

I've got another 10 or so items that spring to mind that I can list so will hopefully get them listed on the weekend.

7 days until payday and then I hope to pay a lump sum off my credit card.

Hi well done on your progress so far. You have done really well. I think a debt diary is a great way of staying focussed

Just paid £500 off my credit card. It's below £2,000 now which seems like a psychological boost!

Time to update my signature, my favourite bit!

100 cigarettes a week? You could cut that down a lot, still smoke every day AND save money :) You're doing really well, apart from the takeaways. Dont get these every week, then you'll appreciate them more often.
