I've now used all of the funds from the sale of my car and I didn't spend any of it on any extra little "treats" :T
I checked my paypal balance last night and I have £47 in there and a load more stuff selling on ebay so will get that transferred to my bank account tonight.
I now need to wait until payday (Mon 25th:beer: ) before any further overpayments.

hi john
i was full of admiration after reading your thread. quite often it is very difficult to identify and accept the things that hold us down. we feel that we need this and need that.
but you have been quick to identify and dispose of assets to pay off your debts. seeing your making extra payments into your mortgage has inspired me too.
i hope i can be as good as you when it comes to sorting out longterm debts. congrats to your wife too as she must be fully behind you selling the car and the house.
good luck and keep posting0 -

It's payday on Monday and I had £29 left in my account this morning so I've paid that off the mortgage!
I've just received my payslip and I will pick up £2,858 so that should give me an extra £100 to pay off the mortgage.
In terms off the house sale we've got someone coming back for a second viewing today so hopefully this may result in an offer.

We sold over 15 items on ebay this weekend so I've paid another £300 off the mortgage this morning :j
I've also had a letter from direct line to inform us that we will get £151 back from our car insurance on the BMW that was cancelled which will also go straight towards the mortgage.
The magical 10% figure is getting ever closer

Another £100 paid off the mortgage this morning :j
We also had an offer of £148k on the house yesterday which we refused. The purchaser has come back with an offer of £150k which we have accepted so subject to sureveys etc... I will be able to clear the majority of my debt.
I will be left with the MBNA unsecured loan of circa £16.5k which I hope to clear by Autumn 2007 :j
