  • Happy Birthday!

Nice to see someone else keeping up their spending diary still. I've been spending far too much lately but seem to be bringing it down.

Keep it up - I've not managed to pay anything off my debts in January but should be able to start paying a bit more back this month and plan to use any bonus I get next month to pay off one of my credit cards (fingers crossed)

    Hi DDDK,

I've had a good week so far this week and haven't spent a penny yet! However that can all change in a day or 2 :rotfl:

I've just taken £600 out of our vinyl business to reduce my directors loan (The business still owes me £1200) and have transferred another £120 from paypal. I should be able to make another £350 payment towards my credit card before I get paid again.

I listed a further 5 books on Ebay last night and we have loads more clothes to sell so I'm feeling fairly optimistic at the moment that the credit card may well be paid off in full before the end of Feb :T

    Hello John,

Ive been reading though your diary and I must say im really impressed, youve done really well. You must be very proud.

When I was in debt I was never as motivated as you. I wish I had known of this site when I was in debt, the advice and help you get here is great.

Keep up the good work, it really does feel great when youve got no debt. Little by little you actually feel the weight being lifted from your shoulders, and you start sleeping at night.

Keep up with the no smoking.

    Jackiexxx

PS. What do you mean your now officially old!!!! Im older than you and I dont feel old:p
  • I have just paid a further £400 off my credit card

This leaves me with £599 on my credit card now and there is every chance with the latest batch of ebay sales that I may be able to clear this credit card in full by the end of the month :rotfl:

Once I have done this that huge overdraft of £5k is going to get a good kicking :D

  • I've managed to scrape £41 together which I have sent off as another payment off my credit card. My balance is now below £500 :D

We have loads more stuff selling on ebay and they all have bids on so that should bring some much needed funds in. I also have the opportunity to take some more money out of the business as we have decided it should trade on profits as opposed to our own personal money!

I can't wait to cancel my credit card and start chipping away at the overdraft.

Debt has been constantly on my mind this week and it has got me down at times. However, I'm feeling a little more positive today and I'm looking forward to getting paid again next Friday :rotfl:
