You're doing really well, apart from the takeaways. Dont get these every week, then you'll appreciate them more often.

Hi Nicola,
Your right and I know that I need to step up a gear now if I want to achieve my goals for this year.
SO.................................
1. I've now gone 42 hours without a cigarrette in the hope that I can quit. I found some nicotine lozanges lying about from last year which should see me through a week or so.
2. It's my 30th Birthday on Monday and I was due to go to Prague with some friends but I have now cancelled this as I can't really justify spending around £300 on a trip away.
3. I've also asked for money for my birthday from family members which I will use to throw at my credit card.
4. My wife has signed up for grassroots, yougov, retaileyes, ciao and voicedopinions to try and bring in some extra funds each week.
5. We've listed some more items on ebay that should bring in some more funds. We're both selling our mobile phones as we felt that these are a luxury item rather than a neccesity.
I need to check my bank balance today and then I will be making another payment of the credit card this afternoon.

Hi Cox,
I can't believe I only just found your debt diary - I'll bookmark it so I can keep tabs on you.
Well done on being brave enough to share your spending diary. I get enough flak for mine so I'm glad other people are still brave enough to expose their spending habits.
Just think - you won't have to post a spending diary if you're debt free....so it's an added incentive!!!

I should be able to pay off some more before I get paid on the 23rd Feb so I'm hoping to be able to clear the credit card in full by Apr-07.

We had some more sales on ebay last night (DVD Recorder, Beatrix Potter Book Set and my mobile phone) totalling £170 :j
I've added this to my birthday money and taken some out of my current account and paid a further £490 off my credit card this morning.
Also my wife has earned her 1st 50pence doing an online survey with yougov which is great :T
Another morale boost seeing the credit card balance dip below £1,000.
