This has always been the case, but most don't bother.
To increase the chances of them not noticeing, get involved in a conversation with them when the 'offending article' is scanned.0 -
pinkpinkfizz wrote:Hi,
I just got Lamb chops sel £9.48 pack prices £10.48 got full R&R but it took ages.
I just wanted to ask though, the department manager asked if I could let someone in the department know about this ,before I go through the tills, to allow them to make the change before i am over charged... anyone else been told this and if so what will I say next time??:o
By the way I didn't actually say I noticed the overcharged before i went to pay I said I had noticed the shelf price and had assumed the discount would come off when the item was scanned;)
My town is so small that they already know me and I suspect that they know I will be back to R&R, well fingers crossed anyway!!
any advice?
pinkpinkfizz
you did exactly what I would do.

Good cricket PP Fizz, will hunt those down tommorow,
thats if the staff don't read this thread and take them all off.
Advice ? Tell them to price the goods up correct in 1st place to avoid this, shift the emphasis back onto them, it is their responsiblity not yours..imo !Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Almost forgot, going to look for one of these

I dont need your unqualified opinions thanks...
You appear to be a busybody.
Please show me the facts upon which you base your conclusion that I am unqualified to answer your question?
On a public forum, there is no such thing as a busybody. You post a question, anyone can answer it. Get used to it. If you don't like it, don't post.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

The CS assistant noted i had gone through self scan tills and said the policy is changing and your not going to be able to get R&R for going through self scan tills!!!
That cant be right
I said " the customer can not affect the price it goes through at, so that policy has to be wrong" but apparently someone had double scanned some bottles of wine and tried to claim R&R on them, so the policy will change (well according to one very tired, heavily pregnant but wonderfully helpful CS lady)
your thoughts?

I was sat in Starbucks cafe at Cov Arena waiting for my OH to join me for lunch when the above post was posted. We walked into Tesco Arena Cov at approx 11:45..only 15mins after the above post, to discover a SA emptying the whole display of these off the shelf! 15mins. (I got myself some yummy Green & Blacks).
Bylromarha, was this the original store? Did anyone else go get these on R&R there within this time frame?
Cos that was b***dy quick, which only adds to my espionage theory...lol
All removed from Tesco Extra Cov Arena Store.
Paranoia can be healthy, at least in small amounts...You do realise that stores have virtually no internet access? And what access there is is confined to one PC only?
It would be impossible for me or anyone else to look at mse or any other website at work.
I think some of you have started to imagine a gaggle of Managers (collective noun for Managers? Probably a Mischief) crowded round a PC fighting over who hits refresh next. Trust me - even if it was possible, it just would not happen. There are not enough hours in the day to get the job done as it is without worrying what is posted on here.
This post is not direct solely at the quoted op. This thread goes in cycles - Paranoia was the topic of conversation around 4 months ago. If it follows the pattern, next up we should have a Troll who winds everyone up
One other point to think about...why do so few Tesco employees post here? I can only think of three, including myself, who have had any real input. Could it be because no others read this thread? Wanna take a guess at how many PM's I have had from other Tesco people (other than Spa2k)? Hint - it rhymes with Hero. Don't you find that odd if Tesco spies are crawling all over this site?Who or what was I before you came in to my life
