Cheap workbench (like Workmate) £7.97 at Tesco

Options
In Tesco in Milton Keynes tonight they had a few (about 4 left) DIY folding workbenches reduced to £7.97 from £20+. Can't remember the exact brand - MAY have been Wolfcraft but I doubt it because they are usually more expensive than that.
Didn't look fantastic quality but as an extra folding workbench could be well worth the punt.
They were in the DIY department on the top shelf above head height and are quite heavy, so take your dad with you to buy them! :D

If you like DIY, these are not really worth the money (if they are the ones I'm thinking of)......Get a real Workmate, they are brilliant and will last you 20 years.

Mine has lasted that long because by the time I have dug it out of the shed and put it up, I have found something else to do to put off the diy

Constantine, I bought a cheap shelf for my daughter's bedroom this week for something like £2.79 from Tesco. On the receipt I also got a 'DIY discount' (of 20 or 25%, can't remember) which I wasn't expecting (not on the SEL).

Is this a current offer on DIY in Tesco (as I know you work there) and therefore would there be a further discount instore on these workbenches? Do you know how long the DIY discount is being offered for?

    Thanks!

My B&D Workmate was a wedding present over 21 years ago (giving my age away now!) and it's still going strong, and gets used loads.
But this one in Tesco would make a useful second platform for projects with big pieces of wood etc.

Sorry, don't know anything about it.

Unfortunatly my store is too small to carry a diy range :o

I can try and find out tomorrow for you.

And to keep it on topic....nothing beats a Workmate(tm) for quality, although I am sure for £8 this is fine ;)

I think a lot of the DIY stuff is 25% off because the aisle in the MK Tesco had a big 25% discount sign hanging above the aisle, but I didn't have time to read it closely.
