hokers wrote:HIS! I tend to post rather less on this subject than I used to, as do many of the old thread regulars, as the presence of the Tesco staff seems to lead to a lot of misprices getting corrected very quickly. For example I had a price corrected within about 4 hours of posting it on here, and a sticker removed from a DVD on the shelf.
This was probably because a member of staff in the store spotted the mistake. As with the majority of misprices it varies from store to store due to human error which is why i don't usually post my meat misprices- just because Joe Bloggs hasn't adjusted the prices on the pork chops in my local store on a busy Monday morning doesn't mean they will appear in another store 300 miles away. I get the impression a lot of people on here - especially newbies- seem to think that if someone has a 'find' then they can just go down to any store and pick up the same item for free and get pretty cheesed off when they dont.0 -

Hmmm, I find that you pretty much can find the same meat misprices as are posted on here, not necessarily in all stores but it helps to have a clue what to look at.
I agree that the price adjustment made in hokers' local store was almost certainly nothing to do with staff seeing the post on MSE!
hokers is your alter ego/OH savingsgirl? It's just I have noticed that you post in a similar manner, savingsgirl leaps to hokers' defence and you seem to come along at the same time, like buses (or meat misprices....). Just a thought, I may be wide of the mark?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Been to Tesco. Alot of Alcohol offers seem to have been extended into September, however I managed to get TWO motorola V360 after a hefty argument with manager and head office. The old "telecoms are excluded" came out but was having none of it...
£180 R+R

In this case the scan price was changed on the system rather than it being an old price up or anything like that. A few of the tesco stores are WELL KNOWN to be following these threads and have even referred to people getting R+Rs by their forum names.
This is fair enough and probably good for the majority of customers, but means less game for us, so we don't tend to post new misprices on here any more.0 -
Glad "telecoms aren't excluded" 'cause yesterday I sold the one I picked up last week. £50 through my local paper free ad's, much easier than ebay. Thank you Tesco.0

Do any of the other supermarkets have a similar policy to Tesco's? I had an overcharge in Sainsbury's yesterday and only got the difference back. Didn't want to bring up the R+R policy if they didn't have one, and then feel foolish!!!!People die, buildings burn, but true love is for ever.
