Hey bren, went to Culverhouse Cross and Western Avenue for Aeros....and also to Pengam Green (which is quite close to my house, didnt realise) for the Sudoku game. Will go tomorrow morning for health and beauty check.

3rd September(well 4th) looks like it could be a good day.

Only I rang to check the price in store for the Xbox Console Bundle and they quoted me £279.97, is this the 'offer' price and is it due to revert back to a higher price? Just wondered cos I'm interested in this also.

Its a little money/documents safe like a cashbox, that the contents won't get destroyed should a fire engulfe your house/shed/office

How does anyone get to check these prices? There used to be two customer scanners in the Aylesbury Tesco but they were both removed over 6 months ago and never replaced. No idea why

That price sounds about right for the xbox. That will be the offer price if you rang today. The price could raise/fall or even stay the same I wont know till I pay a visit...I have been thinking it through though and I think I was initially wrong to say it was finishing tonight, i think it comes to an end on the 17th.

Alcohol deffo finishes tonight tho

Although not fool-proof, as Tesco can be sneaky and extend an offer (as they have done in the past), checking the bright yellow labels normally works. The SentrySafe Fire-Safe had big yellow SELs all over the display, along with smaller yellow SELs. On the bottom of all the labels, it stated that the offer ends of the 08/08/2006 (in small writing). Today's the 15th, so it was almost a dead cert that I would be overcharged - and I was. That's how most people do it - by checking the labels. I rarely use the customer scanners, as most of the time, in the stores I go to, they aren't working. If the item goes through at the correct price, just take it to CS and say you've changed your mind and that you would like a refund.

Various booze offers end tomorrow, btw. For those who visit the Norfolk stores, Caister's pretty bad at changing SELs in BW&S on time. I'm still waiting for the 18th to go check my local Metro to see if I can grab myself an Xbox 360 bundle.

Yep, the XBox 360 and PS2 offers end on the 17th. They've got both types of Xbox packages on offer - core and the other one. I'm waiting to pounce on my local Metro, as they are crap at changing prices on such items - they stock so few of them, they get forgotten about. . Booze offers end today.

Exactly right. It's bloody heavy, too! I was considering taking the one I got for free today back to Tesco to exchange it for something else. The OH convinced me it was actually worth keeping the safe, though.
