Where abouts are the call centres located for the UK Mobile Phone Operators.
I mean the all important place you ring after becoming a customer. Not the uber-helpful, prompt answering, UK based "sales" line
T-Mobile - Philippines (in my experience hopeless, dreadful English, hang up if you ask questions and sound like pre-recorded robots. The reason I ditched them)
Three - India
What about
Vodafone, O2, Virgin, Orange, Tesco ???

That really answers the question detailed in the thread.
Because some people (me included) actually dislike getting through to some offshore outfit. As a result like to know before being screwed into a contract where they will be connected to.
You may not mind. Others do.0 -
So - you think that just because an organisation has it's customer service unit in another country - that it's going to be poor?
I've spent many a wasted phonecall on the phone to some poorly trained incomprehensible, based in the UK.
You can't tar everyone with the same brush.0 -
orange have a callcentre in cardiff although it is owned by a thrid partyReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

This isnt meant to be a debate Tony. Just a question.
If you don't wish to answer the question in hand - Jog on...0 -
LOL - Jog On.....now that really has to be the most sensible thing that you've said in this post...and I hope a lot of other people JOG ON too - that way it'll get buried far quicker.0

orange, three AND VODAFONE certainly have operations in india. i am not yet aware about the rest. vodafone certainly has because i see their recuitment advertisements there when i visit and i see the hoardings there and i think they bought out hutchison company there to get a foothold in the market there! see extract from link about vodafone in india http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7866445.stmService revenue in India grew 37.3% in the three-month period, which was still slower than the previous quarter. Vodafone said the market had become increasingly competitive.
I dont mind where the centres are located so long as the 'service' they provide is good. if i wanted everything done here including having british wine then life would be different and i would be forced to drink british wine instead of french wine and use a british made phone instead of a HTC made phone. I have no problems using a british phone or car or wine or only having british holidays so long as the end product and service and customer experience is good.
