If i have an isa, do not return to work after maternity leave, and my husband is on a low income, does this affect claiming benefist0

My husband and i moved back to Scotland in July after he was made redundant, we claimed jsa but were told that because he had redundancy money we weren't entitled to anything except national insurance contributions, now 6 months later all the redundancy money is gone and they are asking for receipts to prove this, i have receipts for some of the furniture i had to buy but not for shopping etc as i didn't know you had to prove this. I am sick with worry about how i can prove that i don't have any money left as the Irish bank account that the redundancy money was paid into is now closed and i don't have any statements cos we banked on-line with them. Can anyone help.0

I earn £20k. My Partner is now on maternity pay. We are due in March 27. We rent privately at £640.
My results from the calculator :
Tax credits
Child Tax Credits
Council Tax Benefit
Housing Benefit
Child Benefit
All totaling £241 weekly.
Sounds to good to be true. First time claiming benefits, can someone point me in the right direction?
Just seems way to much to be honest with you? Have i miscalculated something?0 -
It worked out that I was entitled to Council Tax benefit but the Council Tax say I'm not entitled to it! So who is correct?0

My wife and I have a similar combined income and it said we should claim for council tax benefit.
Does anyone know what a couple's income needs to be below to claim Council Tax Benefit?
I don't want to waste mine and the council's time applying for this if we're not entitled to it. However, I'd like to apply if we are entitled to it.0
