Sorry not replied sooner internet outage from three really starting to annoy me
Melanzana silvasava glad you like the idea from lengthways fold so youve got 3 layers then fold roughly the size of pillowcase it doesnt matter if its too big i put it into a pillow protector then into a pillowcase but 2 pillowcases work as well find it more comfy than a normal pillow i don't sleep too well as it is i found this works better thsn pillows cos we ran out one time when everyone had coughs and colds and needed propping up i ended up giving my pillows to 2 of the kids (there was 7 kids at the time )and i always had spare summer quilts so i just improvised and it was best thing i ever did apart from stocking up on tissues and syrup etc
I hope u find it works for u i try to get the quilts in the sales end aug/sept missed out last year was skint and wilkies was selling them off for £2 each i was well gutted not this year ill be ready
You can also use a winter one esp if its gone a bit flat or in my case the dog thinks hes helping and after i take the cover off he takes the filling out when im not looking hes done that 4 times up to now might make one into a doggy cushion so he'll leave the rest alone hth plz let me know its so much easier to get dried as well
2nd purse challenge no040£0 Sealed pot challenge ???? £2 trolley find not counting small coins till end year

Thanks Muffin - i guessed you'd do something like that. I'll look out for some cheap quilts as I'm fed up with replacing pillows that sink in the middle. I did chuckle about your dog as my cat always thinks its playtime when I strip the bed - she loves getting inside the quilt cover & even when DH shakes the whole lot into place she loves it & purrs like an outboard engine!!

My cat also loves it when I change the bed sheets and duvet cover. She races around like a mad thing on the duvet, and it's even better when she gets between the duvet and the cover.:rotfl:

I posted this on another thread today, but since the last few posts here have featured cats,I thought it might raise a chuckle or two.

I use a4.5 tog single quilt instead of pillow its easier to get washed and dried and no hassle to get into pillow case

Another tip re duvets - if you have a spare one which needs storing don't try to cram it into the airing cupboard but put it on the mattress of your bed, just as good as a topper and really cosy in colder weather

    For the drivers.
When you park turn your engine off before you press the button to up the windows.
Once engine is off, switch the key back up so only the eletrics work and then 'wind-up' the window. Less petrol usage.

I never turn the engine on until I'm ready to drive. Seat belt, adjustments, glasses or sunnies all go on before I turn the key. It might seem uber-frugal but every teaspoon of fuel helps :)

    Hi,

My name is Garry and I work for a Shade Greener. My role isto source suitable properties for free solar. If you are looking for free solarPV then please contact me .....
... and the award for solar spammer of the year goes to ..... <extended silence> ..... Garry from ASG :j:j:j

Congratulations, as I write this you have posted exactly the same text 8 times on different threads ....

I suppose that the senior management at ASG have given permission to one of their employees to spam on their behalf ? .... perhaps the day will come that those who use boards such as this will return the favour .... just think, thousands of sales leads for Garry at ASG from which not one successful appointment is achieved .....

Take care when spamming, you might just well get what you ask for & have the compliment returned ....

I'd simply suggest that an apology to forum members is forthcoming, the spam is taken down & you have a word with your line manager in the morning ....

As its raining I've blitzed the upstairs. One of the cleaning sprays I use is empty so I've re-purposed it for diluted washing liquid to spot clean clothes before they go in the wash. I've peeled the sticky label off & marked it up to show what's in it.

I am only the only one looking forward to the rain (not raining here at the moment) ?

I'm going to attempt to wash my huge patio with stardrops and hot water and let the down pour rinse it away!

I brought one of those mr muscle touch up bathroom cleaners on offer for 99p,when it was all gone ive refilled it with diluted stardrops and put it back on my toilet cistern.I was surprised they designed it so it could be refilled.
