Aww Peeps, I just want to send you all a hug cos you all sound so down tonight. Its ok, you know you want to change and you are just finding ways of doing it that suit your way of life.

Most people don't even bother to make an effort like this.

You are all brill, Pen x :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

Now then HB - I hope you feel better soon and a good pamper bath always does the trick.

You could try and do what I do and keep yourself busy and then stop dwelling on things and a lovely bath always does the trick with a face mask too and maybe even a hairmask.

I have hardly stopped today but it has been a great day with plenty achieved

Hello everyone. Still trying to catch up on everyone's news - blimey you're a talkative lot on here! Proud to announce another AF day today - DB can you put me down on your list please cos I want to give up completely, I think it's the only way forward for me - and the easiest. I don't want to battle with alcohol any more, enough is enough. I will follow GC's wise advice and not drink today (every day). Sparkles - please add me to your challenge, I promise I won't let you down. Bye for now everyone - onwards and upwards - see you tomorrow, have a lovely Sunday evening xx

Hugs Mookie - we've all got our own path to walk - onwards and upwards is a great attitude. xxxxx

So what's happenning with everyone? BHB lovely to see you and the Mrs - hows tricks and whats happenning on the homestead!

I've converted the kids to watching The Good Life and finally my DD has recognised my motivation and has asked if I'm barbara!!!! If only!! Studies are carp but I finish in Dec - won't be trying a PhD again that's for sure!

BHB new house and I are getting to be more friends - we're thinking of the paddock at the side of the house and byres to rent but its an extra £25 A WEEK so not sure if I want to commit that kind of money to that.

On the other hand if I can figure a way to make an extra >£1200 a year from it I'd bite his hand off

Chickens are ordered and a new henhouse is as well - been offered some piggies but not sure about them - pals say they wouldn't do it again - so not sure. You seem to get on OK with your 'HM bacon' what do you reckon.

I don't want goats - too much like hard work!

We've been offered umpteen pet lambs - which as they are free I'm almost keen on - but like I say - £1200 a year for a byre and a field seems alot.

In the house we've 2 sheds anyway - and bits of garden about enough to have a hen run and a peedie field if we'd like anyway - but not enough to consitute a croft without the 'paid bits'

Planted around 50m of willow since early April - 1 m wide all around 2/3 of the main garden - a fuel hedge - did all the cuttings myself and co-erced the kids into planting it with me - over the past month and put in raised beds, chicken fencing (100m), windbreak (60m) and feel liek I've moved about 2 tonnes of soil (got some from freecycle to make my raised beds with) - and dug half the old house garden, split the plants up and then I've got them in fish box containers at the moment until I can make up more raised beds etc so this year my perennial flower garden might just be in fishboxes - although infront of the hedge I've started putting in Hesperis (sweet rocket) and feverfew - dotted with transplanted bulbs etc - takes a while to sort out exactly what you want in a garden but I'm always too impatient!!!!! Two bird tables up but we need a couple more.

No greenhouse yet - although I've the promise of a free one if I move it - and looking at polytunnels but might not get that done just yet - and don't want to risk a new cover over a winter without a season in it (IYSWIM). So all the indoor crops tomatoes etc all planted and potted up inside both upstairs and downstairs sunny rooms (too many I think I've over 100 tomatoes alone).

Aside that - not much happening here!

PS sorry chaps this was a 'small holder' update stylee progress report for BHB - and wondering about home grown meat and home grown piggies - not meant to be war and peace. (or Homes and Gardens!!) thank goodness I'm AF otherwise this wouldn't have been possible!
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

Hi marru, Sorry to hear about MIL problems.

Did you and OH manage the romantic meal as promised? .

She just had a go at me because of me getting tired so easily, I just told her that there is a medical reason and she backed off and apologised. She just thought that I am a lazy moo but I do have to pace myself especially if there is lots of people around as that is always very draining for me. And yes BF took me out for a nice dinner - it was lovely.

Sparkles - Please can I be added to the list?

DB - Can I have 9 merry days please?

I have eaten so much this weekend that it is good thing that I have scheduled 16 miles for this week (plus running workshop on Saturday :))
