Bit of a development over in Bear Towers; I spent the weekend with a friend & realised how much loneliness is the major contributing factor in times when I feel uber down. Now I can clearly identify that I feel better about tackling it :)

Hi Honeybear, can't think of anything full of wisedom to say but sending you a hug, that's a big thing to face up to :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.

Sparkles, I'm up for the Challenge please.

it was being signed up for the challenge last week that kept me AF rather than giving in to temptation.

DB, Haven't got anything to add to my score as I have drank for the past three days (nothing excessive though),

Here I've had a lovely weekend, neighbours round for a BBQ today. unfortunately it was cold and a bit wet but we all survived!
    Trying to keep in budget.

Hugs HB ((())) I do feel that's one of my biggest problems too.
I'm glad you feel better about tackling it.

GC put it better than I can but my intention on joining a challenge is always that I seriously intend to do it. Then I find somehow that I just can't.

I'd like to join the Mon-Thurs challenge but I can only say that I intend to do my best but really can't give any guarantees.

Me too. I can't sign up to something that I feel I'm letting people down on if I fail. It's bad enough when I let myself down.

HB, lonliness. There's being alone and being lonely isn't there.
Knowing yourself is a big part of realising what you are happy with. Hugs.

Evening all, HB That gives you something to work with, I do think that apart from avoiding alcohol I need to look at areas of my life that I can work on to just basically bring the happy/content feeling that I seem to get when I have had a drink..

My trigger is definitely when I am feeling stressed, but also weekends are the thing, it is just something I have always done...I will proably have a few tonight watching 24 with dh, but am determined to continue with my Mon-Fri afness which for the past 4 weeks I have almost managed (just last Monday BH and Friday as it was my birthday and I went out for a meal) I am really hoping that I can make changes that mean I don't drink as much at weekends either....but considering up till a few weeks ago I was only have the odd af day I definitely feel better for cutting down.

Also I began a running program today and really enjoyed it....I plan to run at least 2 evenings in the week and usually when I do any exercise I don't want to spoil the effect after by drinking - that and the fact that the exercise in itself is definitely a mood lifter....

will update my scores tomorrow as I havn't decided for definite yet if I will drink tonight...

    You're all lovely :)

I'm now going to ward off loneliness by having a late dinner & watching Lewis :)
