Morning everyone. BHB - poor you - toothache is so awful. Good luck at the dentist, hope your pain is gone soon. Glasgowgirl - I know exactly how you feel. I'm so glad I've made my decision to quit completely, life's too short to be hungover most mornings. HB - enjoy your day off - I'm in work this afternoon so off to do a bit of housework now. Bye for now xx

Hi GC - I meant to say thanks for your good wishes - and the explanation of your "one day at a time" system. I understand now - thanks for all your help and support, you're an inspiration to all of us.

This may sound weird but I find it really comforting that someone else feels like this :o

Me too. I can't sign up to something that I feel I'm letting people down on if I fail. It's bad enough when I let myself down.

It's a bit like that for me HB. When sparkles announced the challenges and I knew I couldn't commit to four days, then I couldn't sign up. It's not so much about failing for me but I plan my drinking days/AF days mostly (although I do have a few f*ck it days:o) and the challenges don't always fit. I don't know which is worse, not joining in so appearing uninterested or not quite hitting the target???

And if I open a bottle of wine I end up drinking the lot.

    Sick of hangovers.

    Thanks for listening.

:hello: Good to see you back glasgowgirl. I can empathise completely with how you're feeling. I've had lots of social stuff on lately and drinking has crept up and not enjoying zombie like feeling in the mornings. Definitely going to have a few more AF days, starting today!

Hope toothache gets sorted BHB, well done on speedy appointment.

    :hello:fay

Just back from the dentist ..... Infection apparently as I've come away with some antibiotics. Got to go back Friday.

Still at least that should slow my drinking down :D;)

    Afternoon all

Can I slink back in with my tail between my legs???:o

My drinking has escalated a little bit lately with various stuff going on (not to mammoth proportions but enough to make me stop and think).

I won't join in with the challenge this month. When I put that pressure on myself I seem to crash out completely so will just be seeing how I go. If I can get some AF days under my belt I'll be happy.
