    OI!!! :naughty::naughty:

sub 50, huh? 2 months to do it.....

i can't do a training plan - I have no idea what the goals should be. BUT I will aim for it. I will go out one evening next week and do a 10k and see the size of the task.......

Thanks Marru :) Thanks a great big fat bunch......... :(
    ;)

Just don't go on break neck speed - do your speed work on shorter distances.

69Chick - when I started I did C25K - not everybody agrees that is works but it did work for me really well. I dowloaded it on MP3 player so was told when to run and when to walk.

115 - glad that you were able to start your councelling and had a good start :)

Budgie - You help Mr Budgie best when you don't let yourself to be pulled in too much and look after yourself.

Need to dash now - back later with update on scores...

ETA: ooooh - I got my half marathon training plan today - I am sooo excited - ok I stop going on about the running from now on - promise!!

bah, I've been given a whole load of work that urgently needs doing.

this is going to test my AF resolve a bit.

having said that, it means i probably won't be able to go to the pub and meet my friend and therefore removes the temptation.

    still annoying though.

Budgie & 115K - glad things are a bit better for both of you & hope things continue to look better.

It's quiet on here tonight - is that because Jo's out for the evening? :rotfl::rotfl:

BP talk about testing af resolve....I forgot I had some wine on order & 2 cases of chardonnay have just shown up! Normally 24 bottles would be less than 2 weeks' worth (ouch - what else could I be spending THAT money on...) so we'll see how long they last....given that my aim is still to cut down (hugely!) rather than quit altogether.

They're not bothering me at the moment...but I do like to make things hard for myself don't I? It saves money buying in bulk doncha know :o

DB 2 DAYS FOR ME NOW PLEASE (didn't bother counting anything in April but suspect have already improved on last month. And the month before, ahem.)

Probably back leter, if not hope you all have a fab evening avoiding the election

One of clients at work (telephone answering) is the erotic book company who have published an "Erection Special" *rolleyes* - can't quite bring myself to read "I chose Ann Widdecombe". Other titles not publishable on here, *smirk*

Difficult. It took me a long time to realise whether I drank or not was no-one else's business, and that it is none of my business what other people think of me.
I have to remind myself of that daily as I believe I am very sensitive. I feel I was born with a layer of skin missing, and things that bounce of other people penetrate and hurt me.
I still struggle with my shyness and worry about other peoples' perception of me. This, I realise, is self-centred. I am not the centre of everyone's universe. Most people (thank god), don't give a stuff about me, so I should just get on and do what I want to do.
I drank partly to make myself someone that I thought other people would like - the reality was when I drank I came someone I didn't like. That's my alcoholism for you.

    Hi Greame,

This is what I have come to realise, the me that drinks is not me at all and I really don't like her. If she was not me I would not choose her as a friend :(. The only solution is to be the me I do like, the sober one. So today I am not drinking.

Thats 5 days for me please DB and Sparkles :D

Im back off to work in a bit so won't be back tonight, but hope everyone's ok

    xx

Marru, I looked at the cto5k thread yesterday and am going to start on it I think, I am due to get an ipod tomoz (birthday pressie) so will get the podcast sorted and begin probably on Monday (or might start Sunday)....I really hope I can get into it as I need something that I can do and enjoy to get fit.and also that doesn't cost the earth to do..I am thinking running will be good as I can also use it as some quiet me time as my house is pretty hectic/noisy....will let you know how I get on, thanks for the motivation and have a great weekend with bf :D

Am feeling really down today, mainly money worries and just feeling low in general, the business that we run that pays dh well basically is struggling to pay him and he is outstanding 3 weeks pay now :( am soo worried about it all, its nearly driving me to drink today, but I am hoping not...don't have anything in so would have to go out anyway..

Will be back later to declare anyway....

    Hugs to all xx

Mari - that sounds so much like how I feel. I actually hate the drunk version of myself so badly that I don't understand how my husband can't put up with her.

DB and Sparkles another AF day for me, thats 6 now for May.

    Thanks, Pen.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
