Good news winebox.
Just some background information on alcohol related blood tests.
The DVLA suspended my driving licence for alcohol misuse and wrote to my GP:
"Availability of serial blood test results of GGT, AST MCV and ALT from the attained twelve or six month period may assist in demonstrating control of alcohol misuse."
I submiited the results of the tests together with form DR1 which can be found here:
http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_066648.pdf
After the initial six months suspension I was given a Short Period Licence and to get this renewed I had to submit further blood tests.
More information can be found here:

I don't mind it now, I'm used to it but it really really winds MIL up as she thinks we haven't told her something. It does make me and DH laugh cos she shouldn't gossiping about us and then she won't get hurt by it. I just leave poor old DH to deal with itThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Do you want to set a target and be added to the list BP?

Um, I'll set myself the realistic target of being AF until Friday evening if that's ok, would be great to be on the list(oh, the glamour!)
Then I'll see how Friday pans out, there's a friend's birthday party that I might go to so I'll almost certainly have a drink there.
Might give saturday a go at being AF though because I have to work in the pub kitchen on Sunday mornings so I rarely go out for a big night on Saturdays.
cheers!jusqu'ici tout va bien0 -
Well done to those who have had AF days. I've had another one. Spent my time watching The West Wing, cooking dinner, planning my lessons for tomorrow, and now listening to the Spurs/ Man City game.
Spurs are winning! Holy hell! Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0 -
at his post or the thought of him running?
Anyone read the Stieg Larsson Millennium books? Just bought them, not started yet.....all 3 for £10 from Amazon, should last longer than 2 bottles of wine for the same money unless I morph into that woman on The Champions who could read a book in about one minute (dunno what they put in typhoo these days but it's working!)
I've read the first 2 WB and have the 3rd ready to start. I found them to be real page-turners once you get into them. Some bits not for the faint-hearted (i.e. me) but coped. Book 2 esp has so many people/places to keep track of with Swedish names that you have to be sober to make any sense of it

I will put you on the list as target free for the month. You'll have to let me know how many days you've done. Bold and coloured so I can spot them in the posts.

I'm positive it's Wednesday! :rotfl::rotfl:
.....
I hope you all enjoyed this Tuesdayish Wednesday!Actually in my case it felt more Fridayish than anything. Why are short weeks always longer than normal!
Still another Merry evening for me so that's 2 out of 16 and an AF challenge Wednesday too and I even dusted down the sewing machine and did a repair job that's been hanging around for a few years so feel really smug now!
Sleep well everyone.0
