P.S. (I will shut up after this) - even survived the pub at lunchtime - 2 diet cokes & a few raised eyebrows!

Nice one Winebox, thats the one thing I'm dreading. Haven't managed going out the mates yet as AF.

I'm off to bed soon too, I'm borrowing DS's notebook thingy and it switches off at nine (and I can't remember how to switch the timer bit off now) :o
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

cheery thought for you all(at least I hope it is):

a friend of mine was on Dartmoor today having a walk when he saw a burger van in the middle of nowhere surrounded by hungry ramblers tucking into some food. the sign on the van read 'The Hound Of The Basket Meals'

Yep, I've done it before. I just told my mates that I was going to give the sauce a miss for the night and see what happens. Most people won't bat an eyelid and those who do are quite probably only doing so because they think they ought to do the same as you at some point.

Plenty of friends of mine stop drinking booze for a while and still come out with people who are drinking, no one even notices anymore, it's their choice and an admirable one at that.

As long as they're having fun and aren't harping on about it too much, I don't see why anyone should have a problem with it.

Te hardest bit is the first drink when you first arrive, but after that it gets easier and easier.

having said all that, I haven't done it in ages.

depending on my success at staying AF tomorrow for a third day in a row, I might even try it on friday.

    might.

We want to go and see a local band on Friday night but I think all of our couple type mates are there. I know they will comment about me not drinking and I really hope it doesn't bring up a load of 'is she pregnant' gossip as I live in a little village and they are awful for that sort of thing.

We are going for a girlie pamper weekend, so I think I am going to say that Im going to use it as an oppertunity for a proper relax and detox (which after all is what these places are ment for!) Anyway having saved hard to pay for it I really don't want to miss out on anything because I've drunk to much. Watch this space...lets hope I can stick to my guns!!

Know what you mean, we live in a village too and you can't do anything without someone commenting, next thing you know there are all sorts of rumors flying around!
