  • very quiet on here Maman.

I'm waiting for DS2 who is at a party in a completely different town from where he is supposed to be and I'm very wound up and worried. Just don't know how to cope with all of this disppearing off and lying about where they are!!

Well done on your AFness ssg. Working round the clock does pay off in some ways!!

Good morning all. Yesterday I found this thread and decided to follow it and try to join in and I did manage an AF day. I thought it would be hell but it wasn't too bad really. I got myself engrossed in a book and was up reading till past midnight. I will try for another AF today with a new book.
Well done to all of you who are achieving what might have been thought of as the impossible, I suppose one day at a time approach seems to work.
Thanks to those who mentioned my yesterday's thread. Your support is really appreciated.
It seems selfish to talk about myself but as a newbie I need to learn how to enter into a forum dialogue. Please bear with me.
    Will report back tomorrow.

    Morning all

MP, you know where I am if YOU need ME :) Maybe you could be my distraction this evening by texting me all your troubles?!

Miss P, fantastic news about your hours! Ignore the girls in the office, you will find that no matter what you do, people are always jealous when you get a result

Randomname, welcome to the thread and congratulations on achieving an AF day :T it isn't as bad as you think it's gonna be most of the time, but I find the problem is the building up to not buying the alcohol. Stick around and get some support.

Randomname, this is one of the friendliest threads on the whole forum, we get the occasional weirdos (shut it lurky), but all in all we are good mates and try to look out for each other in a virtual world.

Some posters on here are abstaining from alcohol, some are trying to (me :o), some are cutter downers and doing that for a variety of reasons from health to financial....and some just don't know yet!

If you stick around, you will get all the support and friendship you need to help with your AF journey.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
