Welcome to the thread randomname. Lovely bunch of people here. Look forward to hearing from you again tomorrow.

GC - you are right as normal. I have no control whatsover over the events in my life lately. But I DO have control over wether I drink. And my response to these events alters considerably when I've had a drink.

Also, when drinking I know I become very introspective and anti-social. I spend too much time on the computer and not enough
time with my family when it really matters. Guess its about time I took control of my life eh??

    Morning everyone

Just popping in quickly - know I've been awol but loads of things (good and bad) going on so don't like to come on and moan all the time!

Job-wise, I'm sorted. My boss did an amazing turnaround last wednesday and told me I could have the hours I wanted!! So thats sorted. But my replacement is causing all sorts of tensions at work. She's very outspoken and has upset quite a few members of staff. Our "management" just seem to think this is great!?
    xx

Feel free to moan away MissP. You know you're among friends and if it helps then go ahead.
:T great news about your job (but boo to your bosses not caring about troublemakers). Does this mean you've got hours to fit around Piglet when he's at school?

I think you're doing great on the AFness. As a cutter-down I'd be delighted with half the month AF which you've already achieved. The shame is that you're not drinking socially to enjoy it, like at a nice pub lunch with OH but to cope with problems (teenagers:mad:). That's not good. And of course there's the cost. Glad to hear your foot is improving, don't try to do too much:naughty:

Sorry to hear about your troubles too MP. Hope you have a good swim and channel frustrations that way instead.

Fay, I think you're doing a great job giving your family an idyllic lifestyle and finding the money to facilitate it. Who knows what the future will bring but you're managing really well with this phase in your/their lives.:A

. I hope you will accept me on this forum as I think that so long as we are all honest with ourselves and each other, then progress can be made.

I will do my best not to drink today and will report back tomorrow. (providing I can find the thread again.)

Welcome randomname and good luck with an AF day! Hope it's the first of many.

Lots of thought provokin posts on here the last couple of days...glad you are chucking that wine down the sink Miss P.

Was af yesterday so 1 more for me please Sparkles and thanks again for scoring this month :A

Sim I know you really fancied the taxi job, but I agree with someone else who said is there not another job you could go for that doesn't require the hoo har of getting licences etc.. could your volunteering lead to something! I started volunteering last year with Age Concern as I am hoping to work with adults with learning disabilities in the future and so wanted some experience with working with people after having only ever worked in offices...would you local job centre be able to help?

MP well done for staying af even though you have obviously had a lot to contend with..stay strong x

Am really busy right now as packing up for the move at the weekend, loads still to do so better get back to it...

Will be back later....I am also missing Shaggys piccies :(

Bless you Maman....I do sometimes feel though that I'm constantly moaning!:rotfl:

Yes, my hours at work will change to 10-2 so I can drop Piglet off and pick him up!:) I'm so happy about this, you can't believe! Its causing a bit of tension at work though. There are 3 other girls/women in the office and they are moaning there will be too many there around the lunch period. Fortunately I'm not the sort to sit on my rear and do nothing so I've already said to my bosses if office seems a bit full I'll go and do some work in the warehouse. He was very happy about that (the other girls always refuse to...the old "thats not my job" thing...they'd rather sit bored in the office...wierd!)

So Piglets school-time is slowly getting sorted. He's so looking forward to going - gets very excited whenever school is mentioned. Have got his logo'd uniform...getting some tops etc at asda today. When I've got it all I'll dress him up and parade him on facebook!:D

Afternoon all, hope everyone is well and hugs to those that need them x

I'm not on any targets this month, but feel the need to declare AFness again to keep me on track.

This week so far I've been Sunday and Monday AF and will be AF today.

That lovely warm yellow thing has just appeared in the sky again, so off out to the garden (with a cup of tea) to enjoy it while it lasts. :)
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
