It's a funy old feeling, being back in the land of the living - normality, again, but I'm rather liking it :)

Am proud to say, that I've now been sober 1 month, and two days.

    Sim x

Well done Sim, its great to hear you sounding so well and focused :) and yes the Notebook, I was in absolute floods when I saw it. It really is a good film. Btw nice to see you showing your sensitive side ;) Hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hello chaps off to catch up

Sorry popped on a couple days ago and was a bit shocked by the reading!

Anyhows I'm kicking about and must try and catch up

AF days for a few days this week, nothing horrendous aside that - I'm tidying up at the moment - hence looking for distractions

Childrens are en france - so I can happily sort out some moving bits without them interfering!!

Waves at budgie :) and all about xxxx

Hi Fay  nice to see you hunny :) glad you are sorting out your bits without the old: "No I must take that with me" ;) My Ds is a terrible hoarder, my parents have lots of his childhood things, we too have alot. My Ds hangs onto everything, my father is waiting for him to get his first house.

He then plans to hire a man with a van to take all of these items down to him. (My father does not care about the cost, he just cannot wait to do this ;))

I wonder will my lovely, adorable Ds then want to hang onto his teenage mutant ninja turtle videos and his Captain Bucky O Hare ones too. :rotfl:

He is so bad he even hangs onto wrapping paper

    Makes me smile though :)

How long would a tatoo that size take to do? I must be able to cope with pain having had three kids but I don't think I could sit still whilst the tatooist did it - waxing is bad enough and that's a quick rip!

Sorry to hear about your nan Miss P. My dh's nan had a similar problem and always seemed to have bandaged legs - she also took wafarin and so bled a lot when she knocked herself.

Good to hear you upbeat Sim, i have to say that I'm not sure I could cope with a supermarket drunk - i find the big ones disorientating enough when sober.
    Trying to keep in budget.

    Perish the thought

I went to Tenerife once and visited one of their parks, they had a parrot show................ So cute, but I fear it may be wasted on you ;) in the nicest way of course ;)

My old site manager had a talking parrot himself, I got him a parrot keyring which he proudly put on his car mirror. I bought his wife designer perfume, guess which gift was appreciated the most? :)

I guess its pool time tomorrow? Me jealous? Go figure ;)

Love ya matey, big hugs (()) xxxxxxxxx

What's with the parrot? Do tell. I wont sleep tonight!

Budgie too. I hope you have a great holiday in Torquay but why traumatised about bonnie Scotland? If it is too traumatic to recall I will understand :D

SIM you're doing great. Over a month AF is brilliant.

    Mari welcome back

Fay too  great to have you back after your holiday.

    Hi All

Just popping in to say has been a bad 2 weeks, only 1 day AF. To be honest not helped with the return of OH, he came back from France with cases of wine. And what did silly me do....start drinking them.

Have decided I really need to make a concerted effort for the next few weeks starting tomorrow.

Sorry to see all the hurt on the site recently, hopefully things will get better for everyone.

    love to all

Just popping in....bad penny & all that . (So Sad Angel is taking a rest - got fed up of being a troll target)

Hi to everyone that remembers me:wave:

Still AF....nearly a year soon & I can`t believe it really. I`m at that stage where I don`t even think of those days where I would rush home to open the bottle or get panicky if I had no wine in the house.

Best of all I can walk around the supermarket & am oblivious to the wine offers that are stategically placed anywhere except on the wine aisle to catch you out....that was one of my biggest tempations!

Still addicted to my ice cold Roses lime cordial & sparkling water though:o:o & can`t walk past the mixer aisle without filling the trolley....

Be strong everyone & hope you are enjoying the hot weather.

Hi Mari and welcome back! I agree that debt and drinking seem interlinked to me too.

I never got a tattoo as I didn't want it to go saggy and wrinkly and be old with one. I had a thing about tattoos meaning you had to die young. very odd association really now I look back.

Yellow monkey, sorry to hear the hit you took on the brakes but well done for actually having the cash budgeted, that's great.

And Sim, one month and two days sober is really impressive - well done! I haven't made 3 days in a row for a while so I'm very impressed.

Budge, I really enjoyed the parrot show in Tenerife when I was younger. I remember there was a parrot who could roller skate!

Hellooo so sad angel, great to hear from you and well done on how far you've come - nearly a year AF is very impressive!

No more AF days to report, I'm going to eat healthy and get some exercise in today.
    Have a good day everyone.

    .

I do  Well done on the year AF Ange...:T Superb

Well here I am on the TeaTotal and Tattoo thread :D

Have not been AF over the weekend but nothing major either. Funny thing about the brakes I knew they were wearing out but I thought if it rains they wont make a noise smiley-confused005.gif

Shame we have had no rain for weeks :(.

Had to get them done at Kwik Fit though so probably not the cheapest but , to tweak a saying, "Neccessity was the mother of selection" as they were the only ones open and available on a Saturday.

Since BR I have to budget for everything as I have no credit available to call upon so its a case of having to. Nice to have stuff put aside. Now if I only had done that 30 years ago.

BBQ today but first a Bike ride sport-smiley-5565.gif...First one of them for a few years but need to get fit

Whatever you do today enjoy and do it safely

    xx
