I quite fancy a tatoo, but it would be a small girly thing like a butterfly on my hip or something.. it's nice to have something you really want and to be able to save for it Jo (rather than buy now pay never!!) I think I might take your lead and think of something I would really like that I would never just get and save a bit a week towards...maybe I could put money I would usually buy booze with...
Had another af day here please sparklesa bit enforced in a way, I had the kids in the car was driving home after dropping fil at the pub so could have stopped off for a few beers (especially as I had promised ds I would play monopoly with him once the girls were in bed which I knew would be a job as they are a bit of a nightmare at going to bed) but thought I would treat myself to an ice cream instead
dh is away so once home and the kids sorted for bed no going out again...but its fine I am quite pleased I didn't drink after all, think I might have something tomorrow night, especially since I have been left home alone with the kids from Wed till Monday night!!!
So Monopoly was played and is now packed away carefully so we can play again tomorrow apparantly
Budgie, did you ever get that treadmill sorted or did you say never again after the debarcle of the damaged ones you were sent? I remember once moaning to a friend about putting on weight before a holiday and saying I needed to diet etc. and she just said 'go buy some bigger clothes' so I did and felt much slimmer immediatelyhope all is well with you and Mr Budgie x
Welcome back gien
Off to get a pint of orange squash and to lock up...I hate it when dh is away (rare) as I am a bit of a scaredy cat at nightStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -

Nan is a bit of a heroine of mine (been through a lot in life) so I hope she has a fabulous time.
Other than that been busy having barneys with kids (OH has refused to allow daughter her tattoos so he's not popular) and Piglet is a bit bolshey (too much going on and out of his routine I think!)
xx
Glad you had a great time at Hampton Court MissP, you so deserve it and I hope you didn't put too much strain on your bad foot. Glad your nan's celebrations are going well and hope hot weather not too much for her and her friends at 'high tea' (I'm only about 40 miles fromyou and it was 30+degrees here today).yellowmonkey wrote: »especially when teamed with a nose stud......:D
I hate the thought of tatoos. I don't even have pierced ears. DD1 has a discreet 'Cymru' in the small of her back but this was her own choice long after she'd left home.
 to jo and anyone alse who's awake.
Budgie, where are you going with Shearings? My friend wants me to join her on a Highlands and Islands type tour but I'm not sure I can cope with it.
Welcome back gien I, too, find that posting on here keeps me on the straight and narrow. Plus they're such lovely people:A0 -

Have you got Tattoo's ?
:hello: hello there. Lovely to be back with you lovely people (well said maman)
No I don't have tatoos - I'm a coward and I just don't 'get' them IYSWIM. I know it's very fashionable now to have them done but it's never appealed to me ( I am an old head on young shoulders). I guess I always wonder what they'll look like when I'm old and (more) wrinkly! I even let the holes in my ears close - I am very unadorned.
Jo, I will look at you with different eyes now, tats and nose piercing - well up to date.
I am ashamed to admit to having a hangover this morning which is areal pain as we are moving furniture and I have to drive 150 miles with three kids squealing in the back this afternoon.
I drank about half -3/4 bottle of wine over dinner/evening but it knocked me for 6 - probably the warm weather and dehydration (it's scorchio, here, 34 degrees yesterday).
So, tea, nurofen and carbohydrates are required. Oh, and some willpower too if anyone has any of that spare...Trying to keep in budget.

Morning all
Bit of a tired Piggy household today. Mum rang at 10pm last night to say nan had an accident last night. She bashed her leg getting out of dads car. She didn't realise until she was in the lift to go up to her flat in her sheltered accom. Blood everywhere apparently. She staggered to a friends flat who called paramedics. My Nan has extremely thin skin so it tears so easily. Last time she bashed her leg it took a year to heal and she had to have skin grafts in the end!
I live about 3 mins from the hospital so I met Dad up there. She's such a sturdy old thing - refused wheelchairs etc. They've bandaged her up and stopped the bleeding and now she has to have the district nurse every few days to dress it. My poor Nan.:( She did make me laugh though as its the same leg as I've injured so we looked a right pair staggering into A&E!!!
Didn't get in till 1am and Piglet (typical!) got up at 6am so me and OH bit bleary eyed. Going up to see her today to see how she is (the independant old woman insisted on going home instead of to Mum and Dads!) and will get some flowers for her friend who helped her.
Whats the saying....never rains but it pours!?
Maman - I had my ...ahem...mobility scooter at hampton court so I was ok. Hopped on and off to see stuff so foot still hurting by the end. Theres no way I could have walked the whole thing...its huge. Yes, its been very hot...I like it warm but I stayed out of it yesterday. Far too hot. Keeping Piglet out of it too...paranoid about him burning or getting sunstroke.

I couldn't find this thread just now.
I have some tattoos but I'm not getting any more now. I like tattoos on men's lower legs if they are well designed.:heart2:
(The tattoos have to be well designed not the legs, although the legs have to be well designed too thinking about it.:rotfl:)
