She's probably one of those people who, when they get pulled up for THEIR behaviour, get all outraged, and turn it into you having done something bad to them, which makes them all indignant and will make her start to make noise deliberately, just to make some point or other - IOW - an !!!!!!!
I totally get how soul-destroying noisy neighbours can be. I lived with one for 4 years and his noise was almost constant and very deliberate (he was "angry at life" and took it out on us!).....and I got so upset by it that I used to lie in bed at night and invent new and ever more painful ways to kill him. he was a 20 + stone paranoid schizophrenic with an attitude problem and a chip on his shoulder and man did he make my life a misery....but because he had a mental illness, no-one would take action against him.
Good for you for remaining sober and for facing your fears head on. That takes a lot of courage and determination, especially when you're facing the consequences of acting irresponsibly while drinking.
The confidence thing, yes i get that too....It's very, very hard to get and to keep confidence, but it does come from achievements that are valued - so if you value your stying away from alcohol, that's like making a deposit in your confidence bank...(where did that come from??? :rotfl:). But it definitely can be hard to be in social situations without a drink.
Thats what i was like. I like to think i would never have taken it that far but the noise used to drive me demented.
I used to fantasise about donning a pair of rubber gloves and chapping his door when i knew he was alone and playing his music, bludgeoning him to death, then politely calling the police to complain about the noise:rotfl:
Nice touch i used to think, who would suspect the nice polite lady who actually called the police?
Couldn't get away from the idea of dna though:rotfl:
Honestly everyone I'm not mental!!0 -

I have kept in touch with my old boss who was made redundant nearly two years ago.
I have had an email from him asking me for personal company information. I feel sad that he has put me in this position, as he knows how I would feel over this.
The upshot is that I have emailed him back asking him not to put me in such a position, I could have gone on to say alot more about integrity/loyalty etc. But felt that that should be enough.
It has saddened me to know that he must be under such immense pressure to ask this of me, I wouldn't do as he askes and he knows that so why ask?
If I do not hear from him again then so be it. (To clarify things a little he is now working for a rival company).
So I am just feeling quite low now.
Hugs to everyone and I will try and read back.
Love n hugs

What an awful thing to ask of you, especially when he knows how you feel, he must be desperate right enough
You have done the right thing though
Hopefully he will drop it
Take care:)0 -

Morning all!
Up bright and early today as want to get a little bit of painting in before Piglet gets up. He has his first proper school visit today at 9am so we will need to be on the ball this morning!
Maman - lovely to have you back and glad you had a fab holiday. We did miss you!
Fay -
Budgie - what a horrible thing for your old colleague to do to you! Maybe he was under pressure from his bosses and had to show he'd done something? Still, a bit of backbone might have been advisable for him? Don't let it get to you too much...in my experience other people worry so much less about these things than I tend to. Makes me wonder about the world sometimes. Ooh, I'm getting deep at 6.30 in the morning!:rotfl:
SSG - No problem on the scoring, I actually quite like doing it, its quite enjoyable dishing out the jumpies (and you're doing quite well on that score this month!:T)
Bah to noisy neighbours. We seem plagued with them. The worst ones we did get the council involved with (they had an all night party the night I brought Piglet home after giving birth!) and they were eventually evicted. I wouldn't hesitate now to complain about noisy neighbours...they can make your life a living hell.
Anyway....off to do some more painting before Piglet wakes up!!:D

ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
