"In the shorter term, alcohol also prompts the production of excess acid in the stomach, causing irritation to the digestive system which results in pain, vomiting and diarrhoea."
I used to have stomach pains which have gone now I stopped drinking. Anyone else suffered from this? I probably should have gone to the doctors but...
I had a tight knotted stomach regularly, and it I think it was fear and tension. Though since I put down the drink and got help, it has been largely absent......0 -
Here we are two and half hours into the challenge and we have:

That sounds painful TP1, these things can happen though even if you weren't drinking...
The other day I was carrying a bag of rubbish down the stairs and bashed it into my leg, I hadn't realised I had put a broken picture frame in it and a long shard of glass stabbed right into my leg!! It was really sore and for once when I called dh he said it was for something valid as I do have a tendancy to over-react in pain situations - ie scream loudly then realise that it wasn't much after all
Quiet on here again, hope everyone is just going about their business happily af or not x
I love beaker from the muppets too, but my favourite has to be janice from the band!!
Off to pack up some more stuff, my crafting stash is next on my list..packed up some spare bedding and towels today in one of those bags that you stick a hoover in and suck all the air out to make it pack up smaller - had hours of fun with that with the kids...who needs alton towers :rotfl:

Hi Guys,
Hope we are all ok?
Have not caught up yet so will in a mo.
Sorry Miss P but no more af days to report as yet.
Have had car problems and a personal dilemma.
I have kept in touch with my old boss who was made redundant nearly two years ago.
I have had an email from him asking me for personal company information. I feel sad that he has put me in this position, as he knows how I would feel over this.
The upshot is that I have emailed him back asking him not to put me in such a position, I could have gone on to say alot more about integrity/loyalty etc. But felt that that should be enough.
It has saddened me to know that he must be under such immense pressure to ask this of me, I wouldn't do as he askes and he knows that so why ask?
If I do not hear from him again then so be it. (To clarify things a little he is now working for a rival company).
So I am just feeling quite low now.
Hugs to everyone and I will try and read back.
Love n hugs

Yes it is matey.
But I can't be sneaky or dishonest, I feel so sad over this.
It just goes to show, what pressure some people are under at the moment?
Some things you should never ask, and once that line is crossed it is very hard to think the same of someone.
I just feel that our friendship is now tainted, which is a shame.
But hey I'll bounce back, just feel very deflated.
Hope you and the adorable Dear Lurky clan are all well, hugs to you all and take care (()) :A
On a brighter note, I do hope England do better tomorrow? Oh and SSG no I don't have two computer screens, I find it hard with one, with my poor eyesight.Hugs sweetheart and take care (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Budgie - I feel for you. It is awful to be put in that position and it changes how you feel about anyone who asks it of you. You have handled it well in your usual good sense way. Hugs ((())) m'dear.
Lurks - thanks for the multi quote thing. I will give it a go! Not yet though.
Sim - best thing to do is try to ignore that neighbour. She doesn't sound like she will be very receptive to anything you have to say.
At least it is at an ok time of day and predictable so you could go
out shopping or for a walk at that time.
I once had a very noisy neighbour in the flat upstairs when I lived in London. He was always !!!!!! and had loads of parties. Regularly keeping all neighbours awake until 3am or later. He was once so !!!!!!, he got up thinking it was work time, started running the bath and then fell asleep on the loo. He woke up to me screaming that the ceiling had fallen in on my kitchen as he'd flooded the place.
When he'd had a really late night annoying us, my BF and I would be awake say at 8 in the morning. I'd ring his phone and listen to him get out of bed and walk through to the living room. Just as he got there, I'd ring off :rotfl: Pre 1471 days! Then wait 10 minutes until he settled back to bed and do it again. My, how we did chortle!
He was a bloomin' PC for goodness sake!
Oh - I had a boyfriend who was the spitting image of Beaker!
