SSG - :T on deciding to drive. Trust me , its ok once you get there!;) I drove to a couple of "do's" last year where I'd normally have drunk like it was going out of fashion, and they were actually ok! (actually, one was !!!!! but I don't think it would have been any good even if I HAD been drinking!!!!!:rotfl:)

Marru - Yay! I'm up for the challenge!!!

DB Re: gloss in armpit...wearing old painting clothes...ie old suntop so must have scratched my armpit or something. I do get paint everywhere, its awful! Haven't told OH I'm doing the glossing today or he'll be having forty fits whilst driving his lorry, worrying about what a mess I'm making!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Was just talking to my Nan about this whole prom thing (this is the Nan thats 90 in a couple of weeks) and she said we should tell the ex-wife to "Sodding bu**er right off!!". Just made me laugh...:rotfl:

Was thinking about the challenge, then thought that the England game is on tomorrow, then re-thought that it starts at 3pm so I wouldn't drink at that time anyway, then thought I will do the challenge, then thought oh, but might want a couple of beers after the game if it turns out its a good un - phew see what you mean about thinking too much SSG that was all in about a nanosecond as well !!

Will not commit to the challenge as I don't want to let the side down if I do have a cheeky beer or 2, but I am with you all in spirit....:p

How do you put multiple quotes in a post?

use the button beside the quote button (with speech bubbles in it - help text says 'multi-quote this message'). Tick each post you want to quote (up to 4, I think), then 'quote' the last person :)

    clear as mud........

    Interesting article:
    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/features/at-25-alcohol-had-destroyed-his-liver-we-couldnt-save-him-2006767.html

"In the shorter term, alcohol also prompts the production of excess acid in the stomach, causing irritation to the digestive system which results in pain, vomiting and diarrhoea."
I used to have stomach pains which have gone now I stopped drinking. Anyone else suffered from this? I probably should have gone to the doctors but...

Yikes, what a disturbing article. Since have been a bona fide cutter-downer (18 months) haven't had stomach pains but did previously; Even decided I had an ulcer at one stage but didn't go to the docs. Also broke a bone in a drunken accident a few years ago and didn't go to A&E until I'd sobered up and it started properly hurting :o.

    16 for me Miss P
