    :hello:

Back from holiday. Weather was wonderful. We had a lovely rest, met up with lots of old friends and ate far too much. I've not had any AF days but have realised what a huge impact this thread has had on me. I drank in moderation, sharing a bottle of wine with OH at dinner and maybe a long G&T earlier on. We ordered a large bottle of water (VERY hot weather) at every meal. Previously I'd have been watching the bottle (that's the wine bottle:D) to make sure I had more than my fair share, buying wine in supermarket to drink in my hotel room, hungover most mornings etc etc This is the sort of sensible drinker I set out to be. Thank you all:A

Do you know what i am driving on Monday night.

And that's the end of it

I just refuse to debate the issue in my head any longer its puggling me!

    Decision made.

    Thanks all!!

    SSG

Well done SSG. I dreaded having AF nights out but once a decision is made, it's not that bad. I actually enjoy fizzy water!! And you'll feel very virtuous when you clock up another AF day. Well done:T

Was just talking to my Nan about this whole prom thing (this is the Nan thats 90 in a couple of weeks) and she said we should tell the ex-wife to "Sodding bu**er right off!!". Just made me laugh...:rotfl:

I'm so with your nan on this one MissP, talk about taking the pi$$. Hope OH puts his foot down but it's so difficult when children are involved.

Was thinking about the challenge, then thought that the England game is on tomorrow, then re-thought that it starts at 3pm so I wouldn't drink at that time anyway, then thought I will do the challenge, then thought oh, but might want a couple of beers after the game if it turns out its a good un - phew see what you mean about thinking too much SSG that was all in about a nanosecond as well !!

Exactly the same went through my mind in the very same nanosecond 69chick

Sorry to hear about your predicament Budgie. I think you handled it very well, you have such high integrity I'm surprised your ex-colleague even asked. Sadly you know onlytoo well what redundancy (and the fear of it) can do to people.

MissP, I'll do my best to get in a few more AF days this month.

    'night all.

Hi fay, thanks and yes it's great to be normal!! Must admit to only reading today's posts so haven't attempted a proper catch-up. Where are you off to and when??
