    Hiya
I can hear a tinkle in the background:mad:
not yet a clang but for sure is a tinkle
Do feel that its safe though as no alcohol in the house, no one going to bring any in, too late to get any.

A good friend of mine who practices mindfulness would say that you have to acknowledge what it is for what it is. Thats to say its the echo of an old way of living that I don't want any more. so if I accept the tinkle for what it is then I can acknowledge it and move on.....without having to act on it. At least that how I think it works
For sure its helping tonight and as they say if it ant broke don't fix it:)

NRA Might it be helpful to think of trying something different rather than thinking you have to try harder
There are times we all are trying our best & hardest only to trip over...... it leads us to feel downhearted rather than thinking creatively just a thought from someone who has only just started on the road so to speak

Theres a tune now:eek: *clears throat* all together now
The bells are ringing for me & my girl.....the bells are singing for me & my girl ......and I cant remember the rest. That probably is for the best as well. Its from the musical Me And My Girl
    It is driving me bonkers
Worst of all its like the SING SOMETHING SIMPLE-SWINGLE SINGERS stylie
For those to young to remember SING SOMETHING SIMPLE used to be on the radio after The Top 30 radio programme on a Sunday Night in the 70s I always listened to find out if the Bay City Rollers were still at No1...:eek::eek::eek:

managing the sound of the tinkle is going to be alot harder than I thought:cry:

its OK I'm leaving now t'is time to go lie down in a darken room

    But

may the Shang-a Lang always remain with you

Not AF tonight, been out with BIL for his birthday. I'm half way to my target and hope to do the other half when I get back from Turkey. Although not English, I'm a big footie fan and hope England will be two games up before I get back.

P.S. MissP, your OH is a star looking for stuff online for you, hope you find something you like.

    Good luck with AFness all:A

Hello folks, just popping back in to say howdy. I've been off the rails a bit. Bruised my bum this week in a drunken altercation with a friends garden rockery whilst sneaking a ciggy when I 'don't smoke' except when I'm drunk and OH is away. Feeling a bit odd about the whole thing as I never learn and am finally recognising that things need to change but then nothing does.

Same old mornings of never again and by the evening I am at least having a bevvy or two. Not too much all the time but too much too often out of the last 3 weeks, that's for sure.

I've had one AFD since last checking in and that was last month.

I hope you lot are all doing well.

Crap over here for me, no extra days to report, feel like crap plus got a sore throat and headache. DD2 is throwing up.

    Pah :(

    Morning Lurks

Morning WBF, I am so sorry but I had to laugh at your description of your encounter with the rockery. Isn't it funny how alcohol makes us do such childish stuff that would be totally odd behaviour if we were sober! I used to smoke and quit numerous times and during those quits there were many a time I'd had a drink and tried to have a sneeky fag and got caught, it made me feel like a naughty teenager!

Morning Lurky and Jo (probably dashed off...)

I thought I should be honest and that it was funny so might make folks laugh.

Underneath it's a big line as I realised I could have hurt more than my arris and it was entirely down to being drunk. Somehow it seemed kind of scary. But that was monday and there's been a few drunken evenings last night. No more bruises though.

Have a good day everyone. I don't think I'll have access to puter this weekend so will be rude and post and run.

Glad to have reconnected on here now though and wondering why I left it so long as I was missing you all. I went on holiday and then didn't come back. I'm not supposed to write or use a computer if I can avoid it but I think the drinking might be a reason to be on here more.

That's enough drunken/hungover waffle from me.
