Today will be my 1st day AF of the month.:j

I am going to go for it. I have to sign a contract to say I will be in it for a year to make sure I stick to it. It's not dealing with my alcohol problems specifically but it is supposed to work on my triggers so it's for the underlying issues really. Bit nervous but quite excited too.:)

I have most of these supplements in my house. I will take them today now you have reminded me!:T

    I didn't know what that meant!:rotfl:

    Well done 115k :T

A year is such a long time and I am sure you will benefit from the programme. Mr Budgie was having CBT but he is currently in group therapy each Monday.

I have to say he has improved considerably since joining the group, at first he was the only male in a group of 12/13 another guy has joined but he seems to be a bit hit and miss.

It is comforting to know that other people do have the same issues and feelings etc. In the group that Mr Budgie is in they help you to understand your feelings and actions etc.

Mr Budgie seems to be getting back to his old self, (touch wood). He has always been so caring etc and I think that is what upset me the most. His endless talk of ending his own life etc rreally did take its toll on me.

My boss had told me how much better I am, he doesn't go in for deep conversations. Though when we were having a chat one day he told me that his father had committed suicide when he was 22, I of course have not told anyone else of this and he has not mentioned it since.

He is not a guy who talks about his feelings or emotions, I on the other hand am an open book. Very emotional but also very caring.

Anyway just wanted to say well done and I hope that you can move forward and see better days ahead.

Take care sweetheart and lots of Budgie love :A

    Evening everyone

Well done all of you battling those bells and winning tonight.

If I wasn't so damned tired I'd be sorely tempted myself. We didn't have our pub lunch, deciding instead to go out to tea. We went to a local Wetherspoons and it was terrible. We complained to the manager and he refunded the cost of OH's meal (£5.49 for spaghetti which was the same size portion as piglets kiddie version!!!!). So today has ended on a bit of a downer. OH bit quiet and fed up. We can't afford to eat out much so we look forward to when we DO do it. Shame when its ruined.

STILL...rest of day was ok. Took Piglet swimming at a small local pool and it was great. He splashed about in shallow end with OH while I managed to get a good few lengths in.

    Just can't wait till bed-time now:o

I like their breakfasts (and McD), but it saddens me to see the folks drinking at breakfast time.

    Hi All

Sorry have let the side down again and had some drinks today, but at least Im not pie eyed.

I cannot drink for the rest of the week as I have too much on at work so hope I will make my 10 AF days this month.

What a storm we had last night, my friends poor dog spent most of the night shaking under the bed, she is a lot better today.

    Hope everyone else is ok

    take care

I know what you mean. I had a pint of lime and soda but there were loads of people there downing lots of drink whilst they're kids ran wild ...and this was gone 7pm (we wouldn't normally take Piglet out that late but our food took so bloody long to arrive!!)

I was in one last month for their Thursday curry evening and a couple of guys were complaining that their draft beers/largers were not strong enough!

    Good [STRIKE]evening[/STRIKE] err morning !

Hope all is well in AF land & that everyone is doing their best to cut down....remember even one drink a day less will make a difference.

Still totally AF here...saw a dvd on alcohol in the workplace the other day....was a real eye opener & made me realise that the alcohol in a bottle of wine stays in the bloodstream well into the following day....gosh how many times must I have got in the car ...its so scary now I look back to those days:eek::eek::eek:

Well its late & I`m up at 6am so everyone take care this week.

Btw its 6 AF days in June for me & totally AF since 28th Aug 09:j:j

    Be strong everyone.
