I once sent a text to BF: "Woke up grumpy" and got reply "Why are you sleeping with Grumpy and what about the other six"

Have to say that it did make me smile.

I will be ok after 14th, I promise...

Jo - that is just not fair. I have been left alone here and can't go out to get anything to eat until someone comes back from a) meeting b) lunch

I really fancy a mushroom double swiss, I know they don't do them anymore and I don't eat meat anyway, but I just thought I'd share that with you all.

I too am in a totally bleugh mood today.
Two glasses of rose while watching the gorgeous Robbie run around Old Trafford (I'm with you Budgie!) last night.

Gone off tea in a big way no idea why, need to find an alternative drink, preferably (sp?) hot..hot chocolate is out, maybe hot ribena ?

    I dunno..

Catch you all in a little while, oh and 115k hope you are ok hunny and getting the help you need? I have been thinking of you. Big hugs (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Thanks.:Ax

So this month I have been doing disasterously (sp)
I am on my first day AF today.

(Not like the other day when I drank when I wasn't supposed to.:o)

I spoke to my psych today and she said that starting an intense therapy can sometimes make people act out worse than before. I told her that my drinking has increased since I started seeing her and she said that behaviour is very common as I am so used to dealing with strong emotions with alcohol or self harm.

So I am deffo being AF today. She has given me a list of distractions when I get any negative urges so I am going to look through the list later.

I'm so tired too. I think I'm going to make a pasta bake thing for dinner. I only ate chips in a cafe a couple hours ago and I'm still hungry.:rotfl:

    Hope everyone is okay.:A

Do you not also think that abusing alcohol can be a form of self-harm? Do you think you may have been using it in that way?

Oh yes it is definitely part of it especially the quantities of alcohol I can put away.:o I've put my body through a lot of abuse over the years. She was saying that one night just try and have half a bottle of wine. I wouldn't even see the point of drinking such a small amount and probably would find it easier not to drink at all.:o

I've had no cravings today so far and I'm going to try as many of the distraction techniques as possible tonight. :T

Shame about the lack of funds, but it's an ill wind as they say.

I have made dinner and set myself a special dinner setting at the table. I then cleaned the kitchen. I then put on a load of washing and took a nice shower with a scented body scrub and then put on my red satin nighty. I'm about to get a dessert and a glass of blackberry cordial with ice and watch a film with DH. I'm going to give myself a pedicure and use the foot spa before going to bed. I'm going to listen to a relaxation CD whilst in bed.

    Distract, distract, distract!

    :rotfl:

Other things to do on the list were talk to a good friend on the phone, watch a funny film, play computer games, go walking, do gardening, have sex, listen to very loud music, light a candle and watch the flame, go to a museum (!:D) give yourself a manicure, pet your cat or dog, put body lotion over your whole body, bake bread or a cake, treat yourself to a massage, etc etc

I think it's basically just ways to spoil yourself without alcohol and make time for yourself in a positive way.:)

    Hi All

Well done everyone who was AF today, have to confess I have had 2 drinks. Quite stressed at work today but in a good way if that makes any sense.

Last night with my friends dog, I will miss her she has been good for me. Think I will try for an early night, have booked Friday off to give me some time to catch up on housework... carpets need cleaning and it tires me out.

Still quite angry with my neighbour but I cant change what he and others think, I know the truth and whats the old saying"people in glass houses"... oh well

    Have a good night All
