I wish I could have paid off my mortgage with that amount of money. I would need about 4 times that amount.:pmollypolly wrote: »Mollypolly's off on her holidays early in the morning.

Hah, I wish it was that easy. Didn't stop the Americans during prohibition....
I do something every single day to make me walk away from drink, not towards one. It could be speaking to another alcoholic, writing a list of 10 things I am grateful for because I am sober, getting to a meeting, etc
I either am heading towards a drink or moving away from one - there is no standing still for me.
If I don't do anything to protect me from drinking, I am not taking responsibility for me alcoholism, and I am letting my family, friends, and most of all myself, down.0 -
What a lovely productive day it has been, making me very glad I didn't go out on the work do last night to get hammered with the rest of them.
I have weeded the garden, planted out some more brassicas, potted up tomatoes, sunflowers, courgettes and planted out potatoes, sweetpeas and peas and swept up the mess. Put the second coat of stain on the planter and put it together.
Tomorrow will be the last lot of potatoes and some more seeds planted out and a mahoosive garden tidy up at the end. If a do a little bit each week then its ok and will get there eventually. Also ironing and kitchen clean up then all done
Have just got clean in a nice bath and scrubbed off all the woodstain!
Now relaxing before my tea with a large wineglass filled with...................................raspberry and pomegrante!

Hello,
Talking about magazines - I found very first brand new issue of "Trail Running - get fitter, faster and dirtier" and I am sooo excited :j(I think I will subscribe...)
Ex took DD out today so instead of spending time driving home and then back again I stayed at the services to study, went off to a nearby village to have pub lunch and continued studying there (while having pint of lime and soda), drove back to the services on the other side and sat down with coffee for bit more studying. Now need to get DD to bed and sit down for BGT final before more studying. At least my house is nice and cool.
That makes it 5 please Miss P"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Evening everyone
Hope everyone has had nice days
Fuas - Think we're only on the 5th?;) Have put you down for 5.
Jo - Yes, have Julys Good Food. Miso Steak does look lovely but I've got my sights on the Strawberry Hazlenut Tart on page 67 yum yum!! Yes, also got the Sainsbugs Magazine in my every growing pile:rotfl:
Had a funny day here. Had awful hay fever this morning and by lunchtime felt quite ill. Used to get hayfever very badly when I was younger and this was reminiscent of that. Was out and about with Mum and Piglet and then met up with OH. Was quite grateful that he could drive us home. I'd had two hayfever tablets and nasal spray but didn't seem to be working. Came home and at 2.30 I lay on our bed with curtains shut, fan on and a wet flannel over my eyes and fell asleep. Piglet woke me up at 5pm!!!
Feeling ok now....while I was asleep OH and Piglet went out and got pizzas for our tea as a treat because I was poorly. I like Veggie ones and OH came home with one....an asda one called "Veggie Scorcher"! Chillis, chilli cheese and chilli oil! As if my nose hadn't run enough today!!:rotfl:(was very yum though!)
Also, spent an enjoyable hour and a bit watching Shrek 2. I just love the bit at the end(I'm a bit sad like that!)

I have just discovered a passion for cooking, something i always hated but I am also trying to lose a bit of weight so have been trying to cook more healthy stuff even if I do make the BEST home made pizzas ever! lol.....
May I ask what you mean when you say you can eat what you want, Miss P?
Well done for not weighing yourself for all that time!!!! I was at a point in weightloss/getting fitter where I actually wanted to put on weight when I weighed myself because it meant I was building muscle....ahhh, those were the days! weighing yourself can be a bad way to keep track of improvements.
Hi Treepotato!
Am following the Paul McKenna "I can make you thin" programme. Basically works on 4 concepts:
*Eat when you are hungry
*Eat what you want
*Eat conciously
*Stop when you are full
I'm finding it very enlightening. I've tried every diet under the sun and have always failed, felt miserable and ate and ate and ate again. This programme basically turns all the dieting stuff on its head. Its great! One thing I've learnt is that I simply did not know WHEN I was hungry or WHEN I was full! Gradually getting there.
AND it means I can ENJOY food again rather than looking at a plate and totting up the calories/fat/points value of the food.
(And OH says Paul McKenna is starting to replace Martin Lewis as my "God":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
