Just got back an hour ago armed with bottle of wine fully intending to drink it but unexpectedly found I don't want to. I don't know why, I was looking forward to it. I usually like the "numb" feeling but somehow don't want that. Can't say I feel great or relaxed or anything!
Well done to Sparkles and Marru.
NRA - I hope you feel better over the weekend.
1 AF for me please Miss P.

Morning all
How are we all today?? Lovely and sunny here but don't think its meant to last:(
OH just taken my car off for its MOT. We know its going to fail and has already been booked in to have the work done. He sold his car yesterday so its now gone which he's a bit down about but knows its for the best.
Anyone else suffering with hayfever? Me and OH have always suffered but now Piglet seems to be as well. Must get him some anti-histamine syrup this morning.
Anyway, best go off and get dressed! have good saturdays everyone. Will update figures later.

ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

I sometimes drank on negative emotions. And the drink made them worse. However, I'd drink on happy emotions too....
Sometimes the only way it seems to anaesthetise is through alcohol. I did that for years and years. It only made things worse. There are other ways
Alcoholics resort to alcohol to deal with feelings. Drug addicts resort to dugs. Gambling addicts resort to gambling.
It's what we alcoholics do - we drink. It is what we know. Especially when times are tough
All I can do is not drink for a day at a time. If I manage that, then the day in some way has been a success.
Hope you have a good walk.0 -
Morning all,
Miss P, have you got July's GF mag?? I'm tossing up between page 11 Miso steak and page 35 summer lamb  although I would like to do page 108 three-hour shoulder of lamb tomorrow so might stick to the beef tonight
aaaah food
Unfortunately fell off the wagon last night, very disappointed in myself after 6 days AF so really would rather not talk about it (though thank you to everyone that mentioned me since yesterday and gave me support, I was suitably embarrassed when I read those - after the event). Just going to ignore blip and move on, I remember when I gave up smoking a few years ago, I smoked one on day 7 of quitting and just ignored it and moved on and haven't smoked since. So everyone please ignore this paragraph completely and focus on paragraph no. 1
Speaking of which, Miss P, do you have a Sainsbugs near you? Their food magazine is the best one available and only costs £1.40, lots of recipes and good articles
Right, gotta get off laptop now cos DS has gotta do his maths homework on here
Off to hairdressers at 1pm for me and the young ones and then DD2 has a party to go to, so I'd better find the sellotape to wrap the present up
Chow for now
