excellent photos yellowmonkey! whereabouts is that then?

On bank holiday monday, my dad, my sister and I went to Exmouth for the afternoon. Now Exmouth itself is a bit of a dive but getting there was beautiful, we drove across Woodbury Common which is a remarkable landscape that looks nothing like england at all, it resembles the french region of Camargue more with its barren hills dotted with darkened low bushes, the occasional stag bounding across and sweeping grasses wafting in the sea breeze. awe inspiring.

I was going to say it looked quite Kent-ish. lucky you!

England in summer is truly fabulous, it pretty much beats anywhere else I've lived. Italy gets a bit too hot for my liking and Australia is just a bit boring because everything's burnt.

give me rolling hills and quaint villages nestled in sunkissed valleys any day of the week!

I wont disagree with you there BP.

Sometimes we take certain things for granted. It's good sometimes to look at familiar things with fresh eyes ;)

Must dash now as got to drop DDs off and get ready for work.

Thanks YM....I love fruit but sometimes its too much hassle to eat an apple (sounds odd & lazy but true for me!)....also frozen berries from sday farm foods (v.cheap), aldi etc are HALF the price of fresh berries & maintain their nutrients....if you google the fruits they have all sorts of 'liver helping' properties...apple for example has quertecin which is a MEGA ANTI-OXIDENT....you can also blitz WHOLE kiwis inc skin...also if there are 'end of market day' offers on ripe fruit it can be chopped/frozen & thrown into smoothies.....my recipe makes a big smoothie-3/4 pint but MY GOD IF YOU HAVE A HANGOVER YOUR BODY SINGS 'THANK YOU' as you drink it!

Blackberries are mega good for you & only £1-50 a bag frozen at farm foods...frozen blackcurrents are the best but can't find htem anymore!

Great smoothie recipe DM. I sometimes go to the supermarket when all the berries are reduced and make a huge smoothie with some fruit juice!! Great tip about frozen blackberries at FF though thanks!!

I've just scoffed my sarnies too, and am now raiding my desk to see what else I can find :D

They weren't as posh as your bagel though Jo, just cheesespread and lettuce.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x
