desperately trying to save mine for 12.30!!! Only another 50 minutes to go....gggrrrrr0

Thanks DM - will try that smoothie as pre run snack
DD still off from nursery i.e. holiday club as they have this stupid 48 hour rule after bad tummy. So I am trying to work from home (corner of my bedroom) while DD is messing in my bed and nagging me to take her to a) park b) soft play area c) shop to buy pudding.
Quiet moment with work which I would normally spend studying but can't concentrate due to the situation. AAARRRRGHHH!!! Might need to head out to do the option c as need to buy food for lunch and tea - haven't stocked up for ages so cupboards etc pretty empty.
Plus I haven't been able to go running and I am getting twitchy..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Pen, have you tried dairylea and cucumber sarnies. Yum!!! My bagel wasn't as posh as it sounded, multi-seed bagels on the reduced aisle and Mr T value smoked salmon, already had cream cheese in the fridge cos OH on a diet. I can only eat it with smoked salmon.
In my desk I have a packet of Ainsley hot and sour cup a soup, half a box of ferrerro rocher, 1 galaxy, 2 topics, 1 kitkat crunchy and half a packet of lotus caramalised biscuits.....healthy huh
ETA: lucky I checked before submitting, the predictive text on my phone changed dairylea to diarrhea _pale_DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

Hey chaps
Just reporting in no update for me Miss P - one glass of wine with roast leg of lamb last night - it was poured and drank before I remembered! Whoops - just shows you - the wine was only bought for the lamb and there was only one glass left.

In fairness, to eat roast lamb without having a glass of red wine is almost doing the meal a disservice.jusqu'ici tout va bien0

Very true
However the leg of lamb had 3/4 bottle wine in the gravey/meat anyway.
I'm going to count my AFD's and my NBD's
Alcohol Free Days
Non Blootered* Days
So far I have one of each.

I haven't got 'blootered' in a considerable amount of time but I'm unsure as to whether this is a good thing or not. There are defin itely times when by all accounts I should have been blootered but wasn't because my tolerance of alcohol is probably more than other people's.
I generally measure whether I've had a particularly wasteful session on whether I have the shakes the following morning or not.
I used to get them all the time, so much so that I even stopped noticing them but other people did and it was a bit of a wake-up call, quite a shameful one.
I feel really guilty nowadays if I get the shakes, but thankfully that hasn't happened in a good few months now so I must be doing something right.jusqu'ici tout va bien0 -
Hello
I wonder if I could please join you?? You all seem to be doing really well.
I have a problem with alcohol, so does my OH. We have both had a drink most nights of the week for about the last 5 years and its really taking its toll.
The main problem I struggle with is that if I don't have a drink, I can't sleep at night, even if I take Nytol!! Any sleep that I do get is usually cut short by me waking up soaking wet through from hot flushes in bed like I have flu or something. OH is exactly the same.
We're in debt up to our necks and can't afford this lifestyle but always seem to manage to just scrape enough together for a few cans!
We don't eat properly but despite that we've both put on tonnes of weight and, well basically we want to stop but don't know the best way to go about it!
I don't have the shakes, I don't fancy a drink in during the day or anything, indeed if I don't have a drink at night it doesn't really bother me in that I'm not constantly thinking I want one ........ its dealing with the symptoms of NOT having the drink that I find the worst bit.
Wondered if cutting down gradually rather than going cold turkey would be the way forward ..... but tbh, I don't really know what to do for the best!?!?
Thanks, Jo x0
