    Hi all,

Was just wondering what you all do to keep yourselves busy when not drinking.

I go to meetings, do my housework, keep busy, be with my family all the usual stuff really but still have time when my mind wanders. Weekends still get me sometimes.

Do any of you read any good blogs about recovery?

    Sober love and vibes

Oi!! Get outta here TP, the sandwich is MINE!!!! I've been ravenous since the last time I drank alcohol last Friday!

Waiting for DS to go to bed so I can get an almond magnum from the freezer....oh and the box of cherry bakewells from the cupboard :D

Wouldn't mind, I already had 2 bakewells for breakfast and a topic and a toffee crisp at work :undecided

2 for me please Miss P

20mins completed on the stepper this evening as need to get in shape now and improve fitness over the next 3 weeks ready for some serious hill climbing

Planning another 3 sessions this week and 2 yoga sessions to help then add one more next week

No bells for me - carbs instead

Now invited on another work do this week - will drive so no need to worry about being AF - although I bet everyone else will get hammered so only a couple of drinks for me. I feel strong about this and this is my first test to remain AF out in public with work colleagues. I ca stay strong with others no problem so this is a good test of my strength

I'll tell them tomorrow I am driving and brush off any response not that I think I'll get any bad ones!

Oh dear its weigh day tomorrow and I have eaten 5 slices of bread and butter - whoops!

Just sticking head round door quickly to confirm that after 5 days AF, just 116 hours, I look like I've lost weight on my face, I am no longer puffy!! Although as I drank all the time I didn't realise it was puffiness, just thought I had a chubby face :rotfl:

    Night all

    G'night Jo :)

    - and thanks for before. You're spot on.

I had a word with my mate, when he called for a third time from the pub.

Told him, that I'd rather meet up with him, when I feel more confident to just have a coke.

I made it clear, that I don't at the moment, and that it was making me ill, so I'm steering clear. Not being anti - social, just being healthy.

He congratulated me on being Mr Sensible.. a bit of ribbing, but it was all well meant.

He runs his own business, is loaded, and even after a heavy session, he still gets up in the morning and runs his shop. I don't know how he does it!

Am quite jealous, but now I've watched Junior Apprentice, I've been inspired ;-)

5 days sober today. Feels good, as my head is starting to clear now. These are the times I need to watch however..

    Cheers - Sim x

Wierd but I'm getting bells tonight. No particular reason..had a good day, Piglet been very good, works been fine etc. Odd how some days you get the urge and sometimes you don't!? I will resist though!!! (I hope!!:rotfl:)

    Miss P
    xx

I'm sure it's the sun MissP but that is just trigger of the moment like 115K said. I heard a few bells early this afternoon, just fancied looking forward to a nice glass in the garden with OH. Came on here and 'told' myself publicly I was going to take my Kudzu and resisit. Fortunately it worked.
