Hello all,
I am pooped today. First day of holiday club for DD so I stayed at work later to study.
Miss P - Can I have 1 please? Going to enjoy some sparkly AF stuff as soon as DD in bed - bliss."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I'm not AF today but can I have a target of 10 days please.:ADEBTMONKEY1A wrote: »Hi 115! Glad it all went well! The Group Therapy thing is scary beforehand but you will look back & see how beneficial it was in the future! i know your MH issues are different to my G/F'S (she had psychosis) but she was very anti doing the 'talking bit' with a psychologist & also going to a local art group for people recovering from MH issues (her words were' i really don't feel up to talking to others & especially other ill people-it will remind me of the fact I've been ill') but it SO helped her recovery & in looking back she knows it helped her. Glad things are moving foreward for you!
Thanks.:) I am scared but I hope it will be okay.:o:D I have seen (many) psychiatrists and counsellers but I haven't had group work yet and that is what is worrying me. I used to get really flustered at school, college and university in group situations as well.
I have to think that I got through those situations so I should be fine.:j
Hope everyone is alright.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

Hi again, just finished reading through today's posts. Some inspiring ones from those doing so well. Good luck to everyone else on their journey to be AF or cut down.
Marru You're doing so well. If only I could look forward to sparkly AF stuff like you do!
I'm feeling very down tonight. I wanted to start the month off AF and was feeling very positive about it for most of the day. Then around tea-time a few things happened and the bells rang and I gave in. I rang the counselling centre to see where I am on the list as it has been 4 months now since I was accepted as needing counselling. They can give no answer and it could be several months yet.
I'll try again tomorrow with as much determination as I can muster. Perhaps I'll come on here when the temptation strikes and maybe it will pass.
Best to all

Sorry to read that DB. I think counselling is desperately needed by a lot of people but the whole MH service is so underfunded.:(

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has posted regarding my posts. More insightful than you will ever know X
I'm AF tonight. Nothing in the house. I cannot describe to you how difficult it was to drive past the shop on my way to pick up the boysBut I did it as a BIG test to myself that I can do it.
My two options tonight are, an early night or a very good film to take my mind off the fact that I don't have a glass of wine in my hand. I've been fine up until now because the boys have kept me busy. But both in bed now, so the REAL bells chime loudly
Much love XNeed to start again0 -
Not sticking around tonight - early start tomorrow & the weather is so cr*p all I want to do is curl up with a good book.
Not an AF start to the month. However instead of going to bed with a glass of wine as per always last night, I filled the glass, took it into my room then poured it down the sink - baby steps, i guess

I'm uhmming and ahhing about a target for June and have had a think about this. I am going away for a week. Next month have been invited on 2 boozy work do's which I don't know how to handle AF
Target for June 23/30 A maximum of 7 drinking days allowed however may not cash them all in.
Now I've told people I haven't had a drink for 2mths at work they are why? Because I want to.
The association of holidays/work do/alcohol is a strong one and I keep having to remind myself how good I feel AF and whether it is worth having a drink to stop being AF.
I think I will have another think about the target
Can I be TF please for June Miss P?
Then I won't put pressure on myself and take it day by day and then see about the other stuff later. I don't want another hangover ever again. I enjoy a glass of pop. Why do I feel the pressure on myself to drink on work do's? I am strong on my own, strong with certain people, feel weak when wanting to fit in when this doesn't usually bother me.
I'm sure no one else will care whether I have a drink or not once they have started - I need to do what I want and remember this, if I don't drink who else cares!
Sorry about that, just needed to let it out, thats all
If you feel so good being AF, then why drink at all?
So many people are so positive when not drinking, and miserable when they are drinking. That tells me something.....
