    Morning all

Well 14 cans of lager later I am ready to embrace my new lifestyle starting today. No beer will be brought and I will drink only when at a social event. Need to do this for ME. Time and life is so precious to not be taken for granted.

Any hoo thought I would log off last night as everyone was ready for bed and there was loads of posts:rotfl:

Thanks for the congrats. It is about time we got married. We have been together 10 years and we are getting married in Florida on Dec 1st. Could not afford a Disney one as they start at $5000 dollars  so having a small one in a Chapel of Lurvvv.

Sipping water ATM and have some Cabin beds to put up later that should be a nightmare.

Hope you all have a great day

Waves back hello and to 40SM :) and anyone else about - did I hear MIss P scoring in June? Can you put me down for the full monty please.

Oh the stripey woodland wellie event - supposed to be in Oct this year - but since OH's sister passed away earlier this year we've not planned anything to be honest - the family are still red raw from that (sorry to mention it on here but its the reason we've not sorted anything).

Hello all...thought i'd update you on my progress.....(!) Well a few days later than planned I had FIVE AF days....but had some vodka last night (in my defence only bought 1/2 bottle NOT THE USUAL full one!) (!)....I'm not downhearted about having the vodka but it taught/reinforced a few things....the initial 'hit' of the 1st large voddy was nice...subsequent drinks did NOT match it....my sleep was WORSE than the 1st few days of having no booze...& the overall feeling was 'was it worth it??!' I've either got to have shi****s of booze (2/3 bottle spirits +) which obviously is very bad for you or NONE at all....still the POSITIVES are....that after 5 days I look 5 years younger (honest!)....better skin colour, slightly chubby face thinned down (does anyone else get this or is it just a 'man thing'??!)...happier...reduced beer belly...odd physical sypmtoms better (won't go into detail but aches/pains/aching eyes...sensitive teeth, etc) & 95% improved AND I ALSO HAD NO BOOZE ON FRI/SAT/SUN (1st for me-whilst g/f had wine & wittered on endlessly through eurovision & britains got talent-being sober i saw how annoying tipsy people are!!!)....so my new attitude is....drink if friends come over (very rare -maybe 3/4 times a year as they're 'darn sarf'!)...maybe once/twice a month have ONE day a week having a load of booze (but at least 4/5 days AF each side) & certainly NOT TO DRINK 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW!

I feel i've learnt a lot the last few days-especially how GOOD I look/feel after 5 days AF! I know some on hear may say 'give it all up/you're fighting a battle/alcohol is winning' etc...but gor me this attitude works & I'm learning lots about my behaviour (I keep a daily journal!).... SO PLEASE PUT ME DOWN FOR 20 AF DAYS THIS MONTH!!

115....don't beat yourself up! If you look under my other posts you'll see my G/F has had MH issues...keep in touch with your CPN/CRISIS team & you WILL get better...beleive me excess booze+MH issues do NOT mix...on a lighter note google omega 3 acids (fish oils) + mental health issues-take 2 a day-really helps...deffo worth a try!
