    Hello,

BF came here early in the morning and we set off to the beach and had lovely day. I tried to do carrot crisps when we came back but unfortunately they were complete failure. I shall try again another time.

22 days for me please DB

Thanks to Miss P and 69chick for good wishes for tonight.

It went really well :). Drank gallons of water, stuck my head in a bowl of
steam several times, sucked a few cough sweets and didn't talk much all day. It did the trick. Got through the evening with minimal coughing and had a great time.

I'm sure being AF last night helped. How different you feel in the morning :). I'm sure we've all felt that.

Anyway, as others have said, very quiet on here today and hope that means everyone is enjoying the summer weather.

What she said DB, so pleased the singing went well and I'm sure being AF yesterday helped too.

That's really good news about MIL's 'apology' MissP and very interesting about OH putting it in the bin. You have definitely come out on top and I'd suggest you carry on keeping a cool but civil distance. You and your family have behaved with huge generosity and dignity (and she knows it) despite her rudeness. Like your sig says 'Keep calm and Carry On'. And very soon, thanks to Paul M, you will be 'that big woman' no longer:D Great to hear that piglet is enjoying his sandpit and you seem to be happy with life in general.

    'night all.

Morning everyone. What a gorgeous day! Just popping on to say hi and hope everyone is fine. I just had to tell everyone on here about the fab book I've just read, I can highly recommend it. It's Allen Carr's "Easy way to control alcohol". It's written along the same lines as his "Easy way to stop smoking" book which helped me to give up smoking years ago. He makes some really interesting points about alcohol. I'm still AF, I think it's 16 days now for the score sheet and I feel so much better. My sleeping has improved and I feel more relaxed (perhaps I wasn't drinking cos I was stressed but stressed cos I was drinking - now there's a revelation!) Bye for now and have a lovely day in the sunshine xx

    Morning all

Was AF Friday but had a couple of glasses of wine in the sun last night with bf. First bottle of wine I have bought this year! In fact I still have a bottle of wine left from Christmas - a sparkling rose.

So 20 merry AFDs for me please DB.

Have a great day in the sun

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Morning all - warm last night!

I'm busy today clearing rubbish from the garden and waiting for Freecycle collections and a trip to the tip.

Enjoy this beautiful day everyone and see you later on

  • Morning all,

What a beautiful day! My lawn desperately needs mowing but it is far too hot for that. It has been too wet and now too hot. Perhaps DS2 and I will get round to mowing it in the evening. The grass is taller than the cat

I'm going to order that book Mookie. Thanks.

Have a great day everyone and I'll update scores this evening.
